Yeah, the whole tax the rich sweets and tax the corporations ice cream right?  I always love when people say that and then wonder why the rich, or corporations find a way to reduce their taxes, or pass it on to their consumers.

True. However, in countries where riches are taxed much more than in the US (with taxes on assets, on top of taxes on income, for example), they did not all emigrate...

Taxes were only one part of what I said though... It'd be as good start if the corporations you're talking about started by paying their workers decent wages, and if all had access to a good education, and medical care.

The idea that we should give up an enormous percentage of our income for all the things one demographic finds is vital to have isn't really an American one, which is why it isn't done, and why its a better idea that these things should be implemented locally rather than trying to force them nationally.

People trying to substantively force a country into such wild changes shouldn't be shocked when there's increasingly belligerent resistance to it. The logical and respectful thing to do is find a country that more agrees with these ideals.

This is an interesting chart.

The green line comes out of paychecks, the redline affects corporate bottom lines. Are you better off owning stock or working for a living?

It's only interesting in that it demonstrates that the more power you give the US government over income distribution, the more it distributes to the people it prefers. Exhibit A. So what was the idea again? More of the same?

So the Trump Tax cuts make him a lackey of corporate power?
