Hi everyone,

Happy new year! I finally got my MMR vaccine (1 shot) today after I got my K1 visa issued because I dont want to do it in the USA. She told me 1 shot of MMR vaccine is sufficient enough.

  1. So the panel physician edited my vaccination document with the MMR vaccine given date
  2. Change black waiver section from "D" (because it was not available when I first had my medical exam) to "blank"
  3. But my vaccination document is marked as "Completed vaccination requirements"

Did the panel physician made a mistake? Should there be "B" on the blanket waiver for my MMR since I already got it?

A waiver is for a reason for not receiving a vaccine. You don't need a waiver for a vaccine you received.

Hi! Thank you so much for your response. But I have read that we should get 2 shots of MMR, if not, it should indicate “B” which means “insufficient role interval to complete series”.

What should I do next? ☹️

My husband got one MMR, the date was recorded on his DS-3025, and the waiver column was left blank. Your "completed" box is checked. You've met the requirements.

Not sure how this will pan out for you as you said you received the shot AFTER the visa was already issued. That means the original DS-3025 inside the sealed envelope won't reflect this change/vaccine.

You got the vaccine after having your visa interview? If so, how did you get a DS3025 issued?

If you did get it after the interview, it doesn't matter that you have a DS3025, because the consulate doesn't have this document, so the document won't be in your folder that's gonna be handed out at POE.

Unless the consulate requested you to get vaccinated and sent the the new original sheet to the them, you're still going to have to find a civil surgeon in the US to get the vaccination sheet on the 693 completed.

The consulate has my original vaccination record. This is a photo copy. I will be using this for AOS

I got the vaccination after my K1 approval because I don’t want to do it in the USA. I think my DS3025 is still valid because I will be applying my AOS within one year of my medical?

hi @Greenbaum, will my DS3025 still be valid even after I got the vaccination after I got my K1 visa?

The panel physician changed the photo copied version and not the original DS 3025 as the original one is in the sealed packed.

So my question is, do I still need a civil surgeon to certified it when I’m adjusting status?

Cause the whole purpose of me getting the vaccination after I got my K1 is to avoid getting vaccinations in the USA.

thanks in advance!

The timeline just doesn't make sense to us.

How does your consulate have the original if you had the vaccine after the visa was issued?

When the consulate approved your visa, they had a DS3025 that was incomplete correct? They created a package and mailed you with the passport/visa and a folder that has all your paperwork. If you had the vaccine after the visa was issued, the new DS3025 is not on the original package. And that's what matters.

The copy that you're saying you're gonna use for AOS is not a requirement of AOS, they will take in consideration what was in the Do Not Open package that you gave out at POE.

Yes, you will. What matters is the one in the sealed package you give out at POE.

The original DS3025 (before I had this new vaccination) is marked as “K1 visa applicant voluntarily completed vaccination requirements”.

Today, I had the vaccination and the panel physician edited the copy of my ds3025, added the new vaccination date. She told me that I could use this to apply for AOS.

How does it work if the one I pass over (in the sealed packed) at POE relevant to what I’m submitting for AOS? Because the original one marked me as “completed vaccination”. Im getting this vaccination today is for my AOS

I am a bit confused when you use the terminology "panel physician" which normally referred to the physician who conducted the initial medical exam in your country. The "civil surgeon" or CS is used when referring to a physician who will complete any vaccinations or exams after you arrive in the states.

So are we talking about the medical exam for the interview in your country? If so, how did you come to have a copy of the DS-3025, Vaccination Documentation Worksheet?
