Guilani, Trump Jr, and the soon to be unemployed Trump were the "proximate cause"

Has Trump had one press conference to explain how terrible it was that this happened at the Capitol?

Has he explained the facts to vindicate or mitigate the failure of the security around the event?

Has he explained why he told the rioters/insurectionist/terrorists/murders he loved them?

Has he talked with Mike Pence let alone Mcconnell and Pelosi to express concern over what happened?

Why was the national guard not authorized? MD was ready to go almost two hours passed.

Does he even care?

Congress cannot be idle, the Justice department must also hold others who promoted the violence accountable.

Isn’t Trump desperate and vindictive? He’s got a lifelong history of being vindictive to those who he feels have wronged, betrayed or not been blindly loyal to him. Maybe it’s karma.

So 6 months AFTER he leaves office????? Doesn't that sound vindictive and desperate to you?

6 months after, this stands even less of a chance. The best chance for this irrational political decimation attempt is while the emotion is still through the roof. Too soon, OTOH, and it will be ran through the Senate and discarded as well. So once again, it's going to need to be timed, which tells you, like the last impeachment, about its politically contrived nature.

No doubt, going after his own VP like that is a very dumb thing to do.

I have heard that the DC NG was authorized beforehand but the mayor didn't want them to have firearms and relegated them to traffic detail.

I hope people are held to account for stuff that happened. But from what I have seen there were people at the capitol gates trying to get through them before Trump even spoke. So don't blame Trump for everything because there were some bad actors there but not like what the Left is describing.

I mean right now I do believe he is desperate to stay in office until he is out of office.

I find it says much about the characters of Trump and Pence that it was Pence who called the family of the slain police officer. I do not like Mike Pence at all. I find most of his policy positions that I am aware of ones I cannot support. I think the whole "Mother" thing is weird and creepy. However, I also know and can appreciate that he is a man of a good deal of conviction and morals. His conduct over the past week has given me a greater... I don't want to say appreciation, maybe respect for him as a person. He was being written off last weekend as a man with a political career that was dead in the water. He just blew life back into it by doing his job, unlike some people in the White House.

Four days on from his tragic death, president Trump has still not reached out to Sicknick’s family, although Vice President Mike Pence called to offer condolences, an aide said.

Many moving pictures in there. Officer Sicknick is a hero.
