Human caused climate change is well established. There is an overwhelming consensus about it. The only ones debating it are special interest groups paid for by Big Oil. Not joking.

How about you know next to nothing in regards to what happens in CA forests. I have seen what happens when after a fire burns through a area that has had a controlled burn and one that hasn't had a controlled burn recently, and the difference is quite striking to say the least.

 

The places that have had a controlled burn the fire doesn't have as much fuel so it doesn't get as hot and out of control

I know of a forest that had an “experimental” section that was not controlled burned. It was in the center of a forest that was being controlled burned. It was separated by a dirt road. Eventually the non controlled area caught on fire and burned very high and very hot and very fast. It did jump the road and catch the remainder of the forest on fire, but that part was so slow that it was controlled relatively easy.

That is the point is that controlled burns burn fast because there isn't as much fuel. While the uncontrolled part goes slower but hotter.  The problem with your assessment is that it was a small part. But when you have a large fire it doesn't work like that because there are not enough resources
