Choosing over K1 vs IR-1/CR-1 process

We've seen the process take anywhere from 8-18 months. It really depends on the backlog, the consulate, and what field service center your application was sent to. Good luck! Better to start today than wait another month.

Thank you so much for your reply. When you say 8-18 months, Does it mean applying with green card or Citizen? Yes, I'm currently in Nepal and will apply as soon as I can and not wait for my citizenship.

Could be 12 to 18 months, hard to say as it depends on the specifics of your situation, processing center assigned, pandemic and foreign embassy/consulate reopening, etc.  If you married on the first visit, or have not spent much time together physically in person, I highly recommend that you go visit her or meet in a third country frequently during the 12-18 month CR-1 process, to increase your chances for approval.  Also do as much financial co-mingling as you can while living in separate countries and submit that evidence with the I-130 petition or side-load it later at the NVC stage.  Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback. What kind of documents will I need to submit, Could you provide me examples?

Requirements and example evidence documents are listed in the I-130 form instructions -- https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130instr.pdf

If I'm filing I-130 online and I live in Texas, Do anyone know which  Service center it goes to? https://www.uscis.gov/i-130-addresses does not state that, I just wanted to get some ideas about my processing time. I'm looking at documents to submit but it's going to hard since my spouse lives in Nepal while I live in US, so we won't have too many co-mingling financial documents. I will just have lots of wedding pictures, some Nepal local trips done together, honeymoon hotel reservations on both names. Any recommendation on this?

The service center will be chosen by USCIS based on their current work load.  Geographical location is irrelevant.  As a couple living in different countries, you will not be expected to have a lot of co-mingling finances at this point.  The best evidence is your marriage certificate, evidence of time actually spent together, and continued communication.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Thank you. And this evidences, I will provide with my I-130 right? We also have a wedding video, Is it possible to upload those online or send it to USCIS? And for continued communication, Do I just print out my Instagram chat transcripts or any idea on how to show this?

Yes.  That is evidence for your I-130.  Do not upload a video.  Your marriage certificate is evidence that your marriage took place.  If you include chat transcripts, you can take screen shots of selected conversations.  Remember that anything sent to USCIS must be translated into English with the proper certification statement included.

Could I also include receipts of wedding rings from both parties? We mostly chat in English, So I will provide screenshots that shows period of time we been chatting.

You can, but I see no real benefit.  Rings are not a requirement. Your decision.

No. https://www.uscis.gov/i-130 "Do not include: Anything that contains electronic chips and batteries (such as musical greeting cards) or any non-paper materials such as CD-ROMS, DVDs, toys, action figures, or thumb drives. We will not accept these types of materials."
