Hi, I need help.. I had my interview in Buenos Aires Argentina for a k1 visa and gladly I was approved. I live in another city so the embassy sent everything through DHL. i just got the package... But the problem is i read in the information that the k1 visa is in the passport and i should find a sealed envelope I cant open and I have to show to immigration once I arrive in the US.. the problem is... I cant find any sealed envelope! The package i got was the passport and then an open folder with different documents inside (like the forms my fiance sent, medical exam documents, etc).. Is that the envelope they mean? It is not sealed so Im concerned.. Thank you!

Most embassies stopped sending the sealed envelope as all the info is not in computer to read by customs and immigration officer at POE

but if the CO said one would come to you,,  send an email to check on this

no the unsealed envelope is documents they sometime give back to immigrants at interview

Casa gave Adil all these

but the sealed envelope (now computer info) directs USCIS that the visa is approved among other things

The plastic "pouch" contains the paper files that immigration will take from you at your POE. The passport is normally in a "pouch" on the outside of the much larger "pouch". You slit the bottom and remove the passport leaving everything else intact.  What you received is not normal. It's best to contact the embassy for further guidance. They may just say everything is fine and direct you to go about your travels.

Why so stressed? You are bringing to much drama upon yourself. Relax. This is fixable with an easy fix. You have your visa, and it only needs to be returned for the embassy to correct with the proper packaging and then it will be delivered back to you.  This is why we tell those that have received their interview approval and have not received thier packet, to adhere to the following:

Do not sell your house, car, or property, resign from your job, or make non-refundable flight or other travel arrangements until you have received your immigrant visa and you have checked over the visa to be sure there isn't any spelling errors. If there are any errors, contact the Embassy for further instructions. Keep the "do not open" pouch in the plastic and stowed away in her carryon luggage. Luggage does get lost and without the "do not open" packet it will be a difficult problem for her at immigration once she arrives at her POE.
