hey guys, sorry it's been so long since my last post...over a year. been busy with my hubby who's been here for over a year now, been having a great time...we are now expecting a bundle of joy

but a problem has come up...my husband's working for a man who is getting his business off the ground, so we have to declare our own taxes..we are filing soon, and will owe quite a bit...like $3,000.. my brother in law said that he wonders if my husband could be deported for owing....we will be paying on it, as much as possible, and next year will not have same problem.....so is my brother in law right? does anyone out here know???? i didn't think it matter as long as we are paying.....that is the legal thing to do, so we are not breaking any laws....someone please help, my brother in law now has me freaking.....i wasn't worried b4.:unsure::unsure:

thanks,

Audrea

No, he cannot be deported for owing taxes. As long as he files on time and correctly and makes arrangements to pay the taxes, he won't be deported. :)

I second that. Besides, I don't think IRS will be too happy to see their money gone because the debtor has to leave the country :P My hubby forgot to file three years ago and he owed quite a bit back then. We just made monthly installment and of course they captured our return until we finally paid it off.
