Hello, a few questions about Barbados US embassy- has anyone recently had an interview there?

Looks like my husband will be required to quarantine in Barbados for maybe 5-7 days prior to going to his medical exam and then the interview. Anyone have any cheap places to stay near the embassy? Looks like quarantine won't be cheap... 😫

Do you receive your passport back with the visa the same day as the interview? Or does it have to be mailed back to you? Since he has to travel from Grenada to Barbados we are hoping he doesn't have to fly back to Grenada to quarantine again just to fly to the US... thanks for the help!

When is his interview? Ours was cancelled for January not sure when we can rebook. You would have to quarantine at one of the approved hotels for a good one called Monsterray then after that we had Jendal. Since his appointment was cancelled, we have to come back. The passport normally takes a week so I was hoping my husband would stay in Barbados for it and then return to the US Not sure

We don't have an interview yet just had NVC expedite approved and then the announcement for canceled visa interviews so we aren't sure what that means. Hoping they resume Jan 14 as well.  I was hoping my husband could stay in Barbados to receive his visa too... here's to hoping and praying still... I think I will have to return to the states by myself and wait for him to arrive because the Barbados situation seems very uncertain...

My husband just had his interview there in December. Your husband will have to Quarantine there. He will also have to have a COVID test done 3 days before he leaves and when he gets there. My husband was there for 12 days. He had to Quarantine before the Medical visit and interview. They also don't tell you that you have to have extra money (at least $660 total) in the event that his immunizations aren't up to date. Luckily, my husband has family there and he was able to stay with them.

Hey! Congratulations! We were DQ'ed in January 2021 and I was pregnant and we applied for expedite after expedite and were never approved for an interview. In May 2021 I hired a lawyer and we sued the embassy (mandamus lawsuit) and my husband had an interview in June 2021 after the embassy said he wouldn't receive an interview for "several more months". I hope things have changed with covid getting better! Let me know if you have any questions!
