President Trump urged fellow Republican Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state, to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary one-hour phone call Saturday that election experts said raised legal questions.
The Washington Post obtained a recording of the conversation in which Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him to act and threatened him with vague criminal consequences if the secretary of state refused to pursue his false claims, at one point warning that Raffensperger was taking “a big risk.”
Throughout the call, Raffensperger and his office’s general counsel rejected his assertions, explaining that Trump is relying on debunked conspiracy theories and that President-elect Joe Biden’s 12,779-vote victory in Georgia was fair and accurate.
Trump dismissed their arguments.
“The people of Georgia are angry, the people in the country are angry,” he said. “And there’s nothing wrong with saying, you know, um, that you’ve recalculated.”
Raffensperger responded: “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is, the data you have is wrong.”

I understand the president is under a lot of stress right now, what with COVID taking over 350k lives in our country and the vaccine rollout being a total disaster. I think a lot of people might be "rambling and at times incoherent" too. 🙏

The President did an amazing job of convincing Republicans that mailing in your ballots wasn't safe, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Many (most?) Republicans voted in person on election day, as the President urged them to do.

Many (most?) Biden voters voted absentee or early voting.

Many states, including Georgia, count mail-in ballots last.

It created the illusion that Trump was winning early (counting in-person ballots first, mostly cast by Republicans) but when mail-in ballots were counted, it overcame that illusion.

 

This was exactly what experts were predicting would happen weeks before the election.

 

There was never a "wave" or a lopsided count. The count was always what it was. It's just how states counted day-of ballots first, then other ballots.

 

If Dems were going to steal the election, and actually had the ability to do so, there's no way they'd have left the Senate contested and lose House seats. A Republican led election commission has said there is no evidence of widespread election fraud. The Trump-appointed Attorney General has concluded there was no widespread voter fraud. Multiple Federal courts, including courts with Trump appointed judges, have thrown out almost every Trump legal team's suit. The Supreme Court has rejected the Texas attempt to invalidate Biden electors. There is no evidence that Biden ballots magically appeared.

Just another point: a lot of the state laws that mandated counting mail in/early voting votes later than in person votes on Election Day were passed by Republican state legislators. It's almost like they knew this could happen.

During that same Georgia Senate panel you're referring to, election officials also testified--under oath--that what happened with the votes was proper.

 

Every official in Georgia (most of whom are Republicans) is satisfied--often under oath--that the election was handled fairly, and that there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud.

 

And just yesterday on a call with the President, Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger--a Republican--reaffirmed to the President that Georgia's election was carried out lawfully and legally.

Does anyone really think there was a conspiracy by the Govt of the state Of Ga to elect Biden. 

 

For those of you that dont know Republicans run this state.
