Hey Everyone,

I sent my I-130 application in on 12/15/2020.  It was received by the Texas Locked Box on 12/18/2020.

It was assigned to the Nebraska for processing and was receipted on 01/04/2021.

NOA1 was received on 01/09/2021.

03/03/2021 the status was updated to "Actively Processing".

03/04/2021 my I-130 application was approved (as shown through USCIS Status Check).

03/07/2021 case was transferred to NVC for processing.

03/09/2021 NOA2 was received stating that my I-130 application was approved.

Exciting times...  Wishing everyone the best in getting through the immigration process.

Congratulations on your approval! Are you USC or green card holder. You got really lucky with the processing time.

Exactly same for me!! Does that mean our cases got transferred to Potmac and they are really slow. I'm following it closely and they are processing April/May 2020 filers whereas Nebraska is already approving Dec 2020 filers. And one more question, Are you USC or green card? I'm wondering if that makes the difference.

Yes, that’s what it means. If this is accurate, their processing time is 12-16 months and they are still working on November 2019 cases. I am US citizen, but it seems that processing time is the same for citizens and green card holders.

Since this thread is active again, I just want to make sure that everyone is aware that the DS-260 from the NVC stage asks for the applicant/beneficiary's address history since age 16. It took us some time to piece this together because my wife moved several times over the decades that needed to be reported and in Ecuador a lot of houses aren't numbered, street names change, and addresses tend to be written in more vague terms.

That might be something to start looking at now, or at least as soon as you get USCIS approval, depending on your situation.

We have now sent in all of the NVC documents but the case has yet to be marked as "complete" there. I will continue to keep my fingers crossed for all of you fellow December filers.

How come you guys are getting approved so fast? Are you these applications by permanent residents for their spouses? Because I filed in December 9th 2020 and haven't received any other updates other than that the file is being actively reviewed ☹☹☹

If it says that the case is being actively reviewed (rather than just saying it was received) then that is an important update. How long it takes to review and whether it will be approved vs. needing additional evidence, etc. is going to depend on the specifics of your case and what you submitted.

Case is actively being reviewed since February 24th at Texas Service Center. Anyone know a rough time frame from when it is actively being reviewed to getting approved?

As far as I have read in a couple of threads on here, for some people this status has been showing up for months, for others just for weeks or only days before getting approved. It's totally unpredictable/random.

Today I had a live chat with a representative from uscis and I was told my case is in California. Initially the case is being processed at Nebraska, then my noa1 shows Texas at the bottom of the receipt.
He told me California is the only center in the system that tell him where my case has been since I filed. Does it mean the uscis website is not reliable anymore.
Moreover, the case is being reviewed since January 13th
