Travel outside USA while I-485 pending F1 visa - with AP

Timeline

Will I be able to travel outside USA while I-485 pending . With ADvance parole and currently on a F1 visa 

 

here on a F1 visa and married to USA citizen . Attending online school . 
 

i485 pending 

 

father very sick and need to go back home to visit

Yes, you can travel abroad. Just a note that when you reenter the US you won't be in F-1 status. Instead you will be paroled into the US under section 212(d)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

So does a parole guarantees me entry into the USA 100% regardless of my f1 status ?

Not 100%. But as good as. 100% guarantee is only provided to certain groups of people. So strictly speaking even GC holders are not guaranteed entry but there must be something very wrong for entry to be denied.

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

99.99% yes,  but non citizens are never guaranteed entry into USA. 

duh

Only US nationals and American Indians born in Canada (with at least 50% American Indian blood) are 100% guaranteed entry to the US.
