We’re in Tampa as well. Filed January 16 received NOA soon after and then absolutely nothing since then lol. But Im glad you’re progressing. Hopefully something happens for us soon.

Omg. So sorry to hear it:(((

With my second green card it was crazy - 18 month. Tampa is sooooo behind - new huge building, but so many cases... and not enought people at all. I was absolutely surprised when I got info about interview, didn’t have spect anything earlier then September - October best case scenario.
but a friend of mine finished all the process in 3(three) month from filing to getting a passport - in Jacksonville, FL. And another friend is that I airing for 28 month already in California. That’s crazy....

And what about your biometrics? Any updates? Did you ask about your case progress on USCIS site?

28 months in California? That’s crazy. We haven’t received a notice about biometric reuse but hopefully we don’t have to go in for it. I didn’t know we could ask about our progress on the site. That’s useful. Ill search and see if I can find it. Thank you!

My wife's interview is tomorrow, in Norfolk. We are super excited and she is nervous all the same. Our ROC has not completed and the interview letter didn't mention a dual interview, so that should be interesting.

From what I’ve seen on forums it most likely will be a combo interview even though the letter doesn’t say that. So best for you to show up just incase I’ve heard people’s interview’s get cancelled because spouse’s didn’t come with. Goodluck to her!!

I am certainly going, but it may be 50/50 a combo, because we did have an AOS interview. You never know with USCIS.

Thank you for well wishes.

No decision today, the officer didn't have her file, only the online naturalization application and uploads. The officer said she needs the file to make a decision. So no ROC approval or naturalization approval, however my wife passed the English and civics test.

No combo interview and I was not allowed in the building.

Good afternoon everyone,

Today I had my interview in Tampa USCIS Office.

There were SO MANY people this morning, it's just unbelievable - like, around 30 for the ceremony and huge line for 9am interview.  It seems to me that I was the only one without lawyer or interpreter, interesting fact...

The process  is standard I believe - checking the list with security guard before the entry, then all the security protocol, then I got my number from the front desk (is it a front desk? They assigned the number and told me to wait).

The officer was very neutral and I'm happy about it - not good, not bad, very official and very fast, eventually).

She asked to read a sentence from the tablet, then asked to write a sentence, and wright after asked couple of questions:

- When the Declaration of independence was adopted?

- How many voting members the House of Representatives has?

- Why do some states have more Representatives then others?

- Name three original states.

- Name one war fought by the Unites States in the 1800.

After, she asked a couple of questions, like, if I'm still married, is this the same address we live in,  when did we buy it, then this list of question where we are supposed to say NO to everything).

Aaaand that's all. She gave me this N-652 form, where is mentioned that I passed the English test and the application has been recommended for approval, and said that the Letter for Oath Ceremony will come by mail within next 3-4 weeks, as soon as it will be sheduled.

So, that was it. 5-year journey is almost over. Still cant believe it)

And thank you, thank you to everyone who shared their stories, who submitted samples, who advised and supported.

I wish everyone only best of luck and hope that this certificates of naturalization will bring peace and prosperity to all of us.

God speed and good luck!

Congrats :)

I got my biometric in early Feb. 2021 and my Estimated time* until case decision: approx. 14 months. On top of that USCIS send out text messages yesterday about celebrating 4th of July with Naturalization Oath's and I thought it would be my time for the interview... Oh the high hopes USCIS gave me for a hot min.

Hey y’all,

Does anyone know if it’s possible to reschedule an Interview?  I’m afraid they might do same-day oath or schedule the oath-taking couple weeks later because 5 days after my Interview date I’m going out of the country. Any advice?

Thanks!

It is possible to reschedule your interview, just give them a call and give reason for the rescheduling. But be very sure you got a confirmation of the rescheduled interview. You do know rescheduling might put you way back again? Can you reschedule your trip instead?
