Hi there!

I guess I can consider myself as a January filler, as I sent my app (paper by UPS) back in January ( when 90 days window opened on January 14th) and it was received on Jan 19 ( and this is a receiving date in my noa). But because of delays with paper applications I got first news from uscis only on March 9th ( they cashed my check and sent me a text with a case number). Long story short...hahaha.

Yesterday I got a notice that my interview was scheduled and couldn't believe it, but today I found an actual interview notice in documents tab in my online case. The date is April 22nd 8.30 am at Nashville USCIS!! Yay!!

My residency will turn 3 years on April 4th 2021(k1 visa) and I live in Nashville, Tennessee.

I'm excited and wish everybody to get their interviews asap!💕

So glad for you :) ... when was your biometrics reuse date?

Thank you! Hopefully you will get yours soon too!🤩

My estimated was january 2022 at first and now it still says 9 months...it's some kind of automatic generated date. The date probably depends on how busy is your local uscis office.

Thank you!1😻

That's true, I got my two green cards pretty fast and without interviews. I didn't know Nashville even does citizenship interviews, when I applied there was just one office to chose in Tennessee. - Memphis.

What a surprise I don't have to drive 4 hours just for the interview.

Got a message today:

Due to recent policy changes, some N-400 applicants can choose between the 2008 or 2020 version of the civics test.

So, which one to choose? I heard 2008 was much easier then 2020?

In all honesty, the 2008 one is much easier. Don't get me wrong, the 2020 one isn't too hard, just the questions and answers can be a little confusing. Also, for the 2008 one you have to get 6 out of 10 questions right and they stop the test once you get 6 correct. If I am not mistaken, for the 2020 one you have to get 12/20 right and you will be asked all 20 questions regardless.

Thank you for the feedback, that exactly what I heard.

And they explained in the letter everything:

USCIS will give applicants the choice between the 2020 or 2008 civics tests if they filed on or after Dec. 1, 2020 but before March 1, 2021 and have an initial examination (interview appointment) before April 19, 2021.

Please note that starting April 19, 2021, USCIS will only offer the 2008 civics test at the initial interview appointment regardless of filing date.

So we have no interviews scheduled, definitely not before April 19, so I just use the 2008 version.

Hey all,

I happened to log in to my USCIS account and noticed that I had a biometric reuse notice there dated March 16. Wierd lol. Amyways, it doesn't really matter I guess. Only 8 more days to go for my interview. I have been reading that my local office is doing same day oaths WITH name changes, so hopefully that is the case for me.
