Hi -- just trying to pass the time this evening cuz tomorrow is THE DAY!!

My husband is on his way --- well he is actually in Casa now ... trying to get some sleep. I on the other hand and just twiddling my thumbs :whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

and the time is going soooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Trying to keep busy -- but keep coming back to the computer ... OMG will the night ever end???

Malarie

OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

My husband said the interview went very well! He had the young blond lady and was only asked 10 questions (I will get these tonight from him) and he was told and these are his own words....

"the lady told me a mail would be sent to washington and when returned the will call me to come bring my passport in"

At first i was like ok -- happy ... then i began to think -- What is being returned to Washington?? So i called him back and had him stop at a cyber to scan the letter.

Of course they wrote in french ... so if ANYONE can help i would greatly appreciate it....

It is the standard letter BUT -- 221G is NOT checked.....

the OTHER box is checked with this explanation:

Il faut plus de procedure administrative qui doit edre fait a Washington avant de continuer. Nous allons vous contacter par telephone de revenir avec le passport pour recouperer le packet d'immigration quand votre dossier es pret.

I am thinking we are just in AP (security name check) if anyone can confirm this --- please ease this crazy lady's mind!!!

Malarie

Yep that the good 221g to get. Now just wait for the call. Congratulations!

I had an interview for Citizeship on May 8th but the day before interview. I had called by immigration that I couldn’t take interview because I am going to finish my 5 years on may 15th. They sent me another date by mail, I pass interview on 6/26/07 in Houston. But the officer said I would be called to come back because Form N-400 in name change column, I fill up different name. My questions are

1. How long its take to change the name? Do I have to go there?

2. Officer didn’t give me the Oath date but she said we have Oath Ceremony in July and August. I have to go to visit my mother is there any way I can request to join July ceremony. Officer wasn’t friendly so I afraid to ask. Please advice me what to do.

This sounds very promising. I think congratulations are in order.

If I cause offense it is not on purpose, think about that before you take offense. If you feel offended, consider that maybe I'm not talking about you and maybe I accidentally stumbled onto a sore area and do not know. Thank you.

I think you're in the wrong place. I wish I could help you but I can't, sorry. I don't know the answer to your questions.

And the Questions were.....

1. What is your name

2. What is your wifes name

3. When did she visit and who accompanied your wife on her first visit and how many times did she visit?

5. When and Where were you married (this was asked 2 times)

6. Does she have children - and what are their names

7. Have you met the children in person

8. Who paid for the wedding (when looking at the pictures)

9. What is your occupation

10. What is your wife's occupation and where is she employed

None of the paper proof was looked at -- only the pictures. It seems Casa is really into looking at the pictures lately (I can understand --- if I had that job I would love to look at the pictures too!!)

Overall a very good experience (other than the 3 hour wait!!) -- so it deserves a happy dance

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: :dance: :dance:

I hope this helps others with upcoming interviews!
