NVC request for W2 when working in UK

So today we logged into our case an found that all petitioner, joint sponsor and applicant submitted docs had changed from submitted to accepted. However we also had a message in our inbox asking for my wife(petitioner) to provide a W2 for the tax transcript we submitted, (all Foreign earned income hence the joint sponsor)which is showing as accepted along with everything else. Living and working as an employee here in the UK she has no W2 to provide! We have used the inquiry form at NVC to inform them there is no W2 and please advise, however it seems strange that everything shows as accepted whilst also asking for FE? Any ideas?

The instructions for the I-864 state no W2 is needed if providing a transcript. The worker bee at NVC probably isn’t well versed in what to look for. And a sponsor living and working in the U.K. is well over his/her head. I think a supervisory person will straighten it out.
