Hi, I am under so much stress. My fiance and I sent in our petition and it was received at the Texas lock box on november 2nd. It is almost January 2nd and I have heard nothing. I added the g-145 form as well. I used the company RapidVisa to do the process but now I'm feeling panicked that they have something to do with the delay? I contacted them as it had been 7 weeks with no NOA1 and we found out the check still hasn't been cashed yet. Should I worry or just continue to wait? I am so stressed because I miss my fiance so much and we are just waiting for his visa to be approved so he can come to america and get married. Is everyone's NOA1s taking this long during COVID? Please help ㅠㅠ

If your check has not been cashed after 60 days then its time to contact USCIS.

Same boat here, though mine was received on the 6th of November. Still no response of any type and card has not been charged. Lockbox support email sent two weeks ago has no response either, granted the past two weeks have had holidays. I understand there is a level of patience required regardless of not fully understanding the process and lack of transparency on USCIS's end. However two full months without even an indicator if the envelope has been opened makes me question what is going on even with their manning and COVID related setbacks. December 15th they posted a stakeholder message stating that they have had a significant increase in filings beginning in October 2020, and that receipts should be sent within 30 days of filing. With so many people who filed in October and essentially all November onward filers still without any contact of any type there seems to be either a complete disconnect within USCIS of what is going on in their lockboxes or a blatant case of "Sorry I'm late but I'm in the car, just a few minutes away" while still in the shower.

In any case I'll begin calling them when their offices reopen Monday.

You're reaching the 60 days threshold so the information I provided above your post would be a good place to start. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

Yes, I appreciate you posting several options to contact them. Saves me the time of digging through websites for numbers then figuring out how to get past seeming automated operator firewalls in place to speak with an actual person.

Thank you so much for this. I was stressed thinking I was the only one with this problem. I have tried calling for weeks and can't get more than an automated operator so let me know id you succeed in getting a live person. I am so glad I signed up for this form so I am not in the dark!

So I spoke with a representative today. As a side note, saying nothing when calling will result in a disconnected call without transfer. Stating technical problem will get you transfered. Hold time was pleasantly just a few minutes.

Representative has no record of my case and assumes it is due to it not having been entered yet. However while they don't have exact wait time information on the lockboxes currently items are being entered +/- 2 months after delivery, but they have been seeing some outliers of close to 3 months.

Very little that can be done on the USCIS side as this is a lockbox issue. But they added a lockbox inquiry and created some sort of ticket profile saying I emailed the lockbox several weeks ago without response and called trying to find my case status.

Ultimately the recommendation I received is to continue to give it more time, but to not begin worrying until 3 months that something has gone wrong with the case itself.

So if it all in all takes 3 months for me to get a NOA1 since they received and signed for my application roughly 1 month ago it will me late February until getting our NOA1, at that rate assuming we could get a NOA1 in late February, when would we expect to get our NOA2 assuming there is no RFE?

Whole reason we chose K1 route it's because we thought it would be faster, which was in my opinion only advantage of an K1 visa.

Last time my fiance was here was in September, if only we knew what we know now, we would have chosen Cr1 route! Such a long wait for NOA2 😓. But  we need to be patient.

Edit: our NOA1 took 40 days, but it seems 3 months wait is normal now.

The most important advantage of a K-1 is that you don't have to be married to start the process.

That's not such a big deal when you can travel back and forth easily and either your fiancé(e) can visit the US or marrying in his or her country is pretty straightforward, but if doing a CR-1 effectively requires a third-country wedding it's a different story (especially when finding someplace you can practically meet and marry is difficult due to covid travel restrictions).
