My friend keeps telling me he has heard on the news that President Biden would revert the ban. But I can not find anything online. Can someone please confirm what’s going on it would be highly appreciated.

This is the only news so far regarding April 22 proclamation and subsequent extensions: https://www.voanews.com/usa/biden-pledges-change-immigration-lays-out-plan "During the coronavirus pandemic Trump issued proclamations blocking the entry of many temporary foreign workers and applicants for green cards. While Biden has criticized the restrictions, he has not yet said whether he would immediately reverse them."

They are talking about “dozens” of actions including reversing some of trump’s EOs in the first ten days. Nowhere have I seen details of all these dozens, other than the same critical few repeatedly referred to. I have seen overturning travel bans (plural) referred to. It’s just a few days now till we find out for sure, not much point speculating here.

Biden is not going to remove ban in 2021 it looks like. Today Trump removed bans on Europe and UK but incoming administration said they would ban it again.

Those are COVID bans, not immigration bans. It is based only on physical presence in a particular country two weeks before entry. Easy to get around if you really want to, and many have.

Note that DOS overstepped its authority by implementing an unlawful "No Visa Policy" at consular posts inside the areas affected by the COVID proclamations. In Milligan v. Pompeo, the judge said: "A person who receives a visa can enter the United States without violating a proclamation — namely, by first quarantining for 14 days in a non-proclamation country — and thus can attempt entry without violating [the order]," "Plaintiffs here may very well act in this fashion if and when they finally obtain their visas."

But the above ruling currently only helps the listed Plaintiffs. The judge was hindered by the way the Plaintiffs' own legal team structured the complaint filing. In the complaint they also requested writ of Mandamus order, and thus the whole complaint could only be limited to Plaintiffs. The most the judge can do for non-Plaintiffs in the ongoing lawsuit is to verbally scold the Government lawyers:

Yes, this in fact was one of the things that got overturned in the DV etc case - (Gomez before judge Mehta) - the ban being on entry not on issuing visas - thus the judge instructed DoS to issue DV visas despite the ban, for use after it ended. The principle applies to all the banned visa categories, but as DV was the only one that would have been permanently affected the order was limited to that.

https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/update-on-gomez-v-trump-22079/ is a brief summary of this aspect

Yup. In that case, Judge Mehta had to further amend the order because DOS was trying to use the COVID proclamations as a back-up excuse to not issue visas to DV applicants in those countries: https://www.jdsupra.com/legalnews/update-federal-judge-files-amended-58909/ "DOS had announced that it would not issue visas to [DV] applicants who were subject to the “14-Day Quarantine” rule if they were not exempt or had not completed a 14-day quarantine elsewhere. Judge Mehta found this was “illogical” and “at odds with” his previously issued injunction."

Pls is it true that President Biden has lifted the travel ban on some countries?

Yes, mainly the “Muslim ban” and “African bans”
