Instructions say to do so, from personal experience they just use the photo from biometrics, so you don't have to. Only time I've seen an RFE for pictures was for an I-485, I-765, and I-131 filed for a kid under the age they conduct biometrics.

Couple months ago someone mentioned here in the forum receiving a RFE for their EAD renewal for not sending the photos.

Hi... can I use the same pictures I used when applying my i-485?

Yes, EAD and AP initial and renewal applications are free if you have a pending I-485. Only things you need to submit are:

1. Form I-765

2. Form I-131

3. Copy of I-485 receipt notice

4. Copy front and back of the previous combo card

Don't you also need two passport size photographs and copies of your passport and latest I 94?

No actually.

In regards to passport photos, USCIS just uses ones from biometrics, only time when they do want actual photos from you is when you're a minor under 14, since they don't generally take biometrics from them.

In regards to passport/latest I-94, one they already have that on file, and two that's needed for the I-485, not strictly for the I-765/I-131.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Passport photos are still a requirement for the forms. And there's at least 1 case here in the forum where they got an RFE for the passport photos.
