what do they do in biometrics? Is it only finger printing? i got an appointment scheduled next month. I also had a question about my appointment letter. I have received an I-485 Receipt but I haven't received my I765 receipt yet.

On the appointment letter, it has two bar codes below stating application #1 I485 and another barcode beside it with Application 2 i765.

However,

I never got the I-765 receipt yet.

Do i have to take the biometrics twice then? I read something about multiple biometrics being taken for I-485 and I-765 concurrently filed applications.

It might be that you have 2 biometrics appointments: one for AOS, one for EAD

When you go to have your biometrics taken for AOS, you could ask them nicely if they could take your EAD fingerprints too ;)

I got the biometrics for I-485. How come I haven't received an appointment for I-765?

It says Code 3 on top of the notice but on the bottom it lists I-485 and I-765. Does this mean I have to go twice?

I had the same thing on my Biometrics appointment letter ... They take the biometrics for both applications at the same time ... Usually you will not have to go for two biometrics appointments but it does happen sometimes ...

Make sure your fingers are free of cuts and what not ... If your fingerprints are hard for the machine to read then they will make you reschedule ... So that means no hard labour for a few weeks leading to your appointment :)
