Hey guys, i just saw someone posted on January filers whose folder is delivered to uscis on 2/1,  and credit card is charged last night. It looks like uscis is starting off February, yaaayy!

Hey guys,

 

I get updates from visajourney from time to time with an estimated approval date. The latest was September 2022 which seems really long. I checked USCIS's processing times for it and it says with my service center 5-15 months but I'm seeing recent timelines show a lot quicker approval date.

 

Just curious how accurate it is? I'm guessing that's like a "worst case scenario" timeframe...?

it will depend on service center, SRC seems pretty fast these days, but as for WAC, i got no updates yet after they received my case, no biometrics or such.

Removal of Conditions

02/06/2021: Filed and package sent

02/10/2021: Received by USCIS

03/18/2021: NOA 1

07/01/2021: Biometrics waived

09/27/2011: Case approved, no interview (K1 visa)

Service Center: WAC

the uncertainty and frequent changes in vj estimate is because there are a lot of cases transferred between service centers. I wouldn't count on the estimates right now in this covid era.

Removal of Conditions

02/06/2021: Filed and package sent

02/10/2021: Received by USCIS

03/18/2021: NOA 1

07/01/2021: Biometrics waived

09/27/2011: Case approved, no interview (K1 visa)

Service Center: WAC

It looks like there's a pay off with going with the K-1 routes (and other non CR-1s) which can be longer and more frustrating with work permits, because those seem to all be sent to faster service centers when removing conditions! All CR-1s seem to go to the slow as hell ones.

That's not true, I'm at Potomac which is very slow and I chose the K1 route. It's generally based on location I think.

ROC Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

 

05/16/19 - Green Card Issue Date

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

04/07/21 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

It's not guaranteed that you'll be faster on non CR-1 but you only have to look at the Feb 2021 sheet to see that almost all CR-1s went to MSC which is very slow. I guess that's all I was saying

Oh; I think that's because CR-1s/IR-1s haven't interviewed in the US. But yeah, from what I've seen there are several slow service centres beyond MSC (although I do get that it is frustrating). YSC, where our case is at, seems to still be working on August 2019 😅
