Looks like ours was rejected due to using the old edition. We had the form ready to go a while ago, should have re-checked before sending.
But taking 6 weeks to get a rejection for a form that needs to be filed in a 90-day window period is annoying. Hoping they increase that to a 120-day window if it's taking 6 weeks to just get NOA.

The rejected one has "Form I-751 12/05/17 N" at the bottom of each page. The new/correct one has "Form I-751 12/02/19 N" and a bar code next to it at the bottom of each page. Both forms up top has an expiration date of 12/31/2019

Our service center is Texas. I checked and it said 5-15 months. I was like jeeeez that's so vague. Hopefully it'll be a nice in between. The waiting part sucks though for real. 😩

Texas is currently picking up speed on processing, at least by the other filing months spreadsheets.  Fingers crossed for you that the speed keeps up!  There have been a few that have been adjudicated in a couple of months.  🤞

Hi,

1. Most people aren't getting any email/text notifications nowadays, uscis seems to have problems sending those due to huge backlog. Since you get your noa, it is not a problem anymore.

2. When you move, you'll need to change your address via form ar-11, and your sponsor will need to change address via form i-865. Theoritically, this should be enough for uscis to transfer your case. But (a huge but) uscis is seldomly successful at changing addresses. Therefore, please make sure you forward emails through usps, and make sure checking your status frequently. Most people got biometrics waived, and fingerprints have been used from aos. That may not be the case for you, but it will most probably be waived so you wouldn't have to worry about changing addresses in terms of biometrics.

Thank you so much for clarifying!

In this process, having clarity makes all the difference and your answer lifted a lot of mental stress for me.

So I re-sent our rejected application today. I guess I'm no longer a February 2021 filer..? I have a case number from the original rejected submission, does anyone know if this will continue to be the same number? It starts with EAC.

I just resent mine today as well. I would assume it would be the same number but would like to hear other opinions.

It will most probably be assigned to the same service center. It may not be the case all the time but 90% they are assigned based on location. But i assume it wouldn't be same number. the previous case is closed as rejected, now you should be assigned a new number.

I think yours is an exception. Correct me if I am wrong but looking at your timeline, you reside in California, right? It is not the case all the time, but previous number being in EAC is rare, and getting WAC now seems more appropriate.
