My husband got his greencard in october, this was after a useless trip to USCIS in August(for documentation we already had because it was already approved.) At the time we were unable to contact them because the automatic voice system is useless. So we're back again, it's been 3 months since we had the greencard and 5 or  so since it was approved. However, we have no SSN. I was told to expect a social security within about 2 weeks or so,  with COVID we assumed it would be longer. The main issue is I need to speak with someone at USCIS but I don't have a reference number becuase there's not really a notice of action given either about the SSN. There is a USCIS number but I'm not sure if that's meant to be his SSN for now? We had a hard time filing taxes until WAY too late this year because of this issue as well.

Anyone know anything about SSN, or at least actually speaking to someone at USCIS that's not the voice command (because im literally losing my mind with her hanging up on me and making me repeat the same thing 7x)

A SSN is not a matter for USCIS.   You need to contact the Social Security Administration (your local SSA office).  They are separate agencies.

USCIS does not issue Social Security Numbers. When you applied for his EAD, there was an option for USCIS to request the SSA to issue a Social Security Card for him, but if the green card is approved before the EAD can be approved (your timeline seems incomplete so I am not sure if this happened for you), this communication between USCIS and the SSA often does not happen. You need to deal with the SSA now to request a Social Security Number.
