K1 Embassy Question

Hello All,

I am asking for a friend.

I know someone who met her partner/fiancee through a mutual friend and they would eventually like to file a K1 after sometime. He is a cuban national but lives in Port Of Spain, Trinidad.

Currently the US Embassy that Cuban nationals have to use is in Guyana.

So her question is would her partner have to move back to cuba once she files or can everything be done with him living in Trinidad while be a Cuban National/citizen.

The other question is would he need to travel to Guyana for the interview if there is a US embassy in Trinidad.

11/21/20: I-129F packet shipped via USPS

11/25/20: I-129F delivered to Dallas Lockbox (Lewisville)

11/27/20: Backdated I-129F "received date"

2/23/21: I-129F fee charged to bank account

2/25/21: Text alert NOA1 Receipt/Case Number

3/3/21 :  Received NOA1 Letter in the mail

If a legal resident of Trinidad then yes.

A simple Google search would indicate an embassy in Port of Spain

YMMV
