Passport

Good afternoon

My spouse attended the interview last week on Dec 22 and the consulate kept the passport and said visa is approved pending medical exam results (they indicated they hadn’t received the exam even though the medical was completed well in advance in Dec 2.)

1. How long will the consulate take to review the medical?
2. Will our case stay in AP even though they have the passport?

This seems like the most stressful part of the whole CR1 process - waiting for CEAC to update. 😳

Thanks

It is a good sign they keep the passport, no one can tell you when it is received and reviewed at this pandemic time. Yes AP is until it is issued. Live your lives, don’t check ceac every minute.

I had my interview on December 2nd and my medical December 8th. It took about 2 week before I received notice I could send in my passport. I sent it through secure mail to them, and now awaiting the return including the visa.

Wow. Well congrats in advance. Soon, the wait will be over for us. Does CEAC still say refused, or has it been updated for you guys at all since the interview?

Mine still says ready for interview, but I do see last update was 28th of December. Bit confused by it, but so far it was pretty smooth so I will just wait and see.
