I was just talking with my friend about his case. He got his approval the 25th of January on the uscis app, but has yet to receive his Noa 2  are they running that far behind getting those letters out?

I was approved January 26 and still haven’t received a physical one. I’m pretty sure it’s delayed but my fiancé went ahead and filled out an online form because we didn’t get the letter by the date specified on USCIS website where we checked our case status. The automatic reply said USCIS will get back to us about the issue by March 5.

Its been two weeks now since we saw on the website that our case was approved. We haven't gotten any letter yet. I'm assuming that, since we don't have our NOA2 yet, we cant call the NVC to ask for our case number right?

For those who have received their physical NOA 2, how long until NVC gave you your case number?

Sorry I am just very anxious at this point.

You don’t need a physical letter to start calling the NVC. As soon as they approve they start sending it to NVC. Give it ~4-5 weeks.

So today we received an email from NVC, our case was shipped to the embassy so the status says "In Transit". I was caught off guard by this, I have like nothing ready for the interview.

Wow, great news!
congratulations!
May I ask you when you got your case number?
did you send any emails before this to NVC ?

I accidentaly wrote to NVC to update our email addresses before the case was even there, so I guess they ended up assigning the email address to the case once they got it.

how does the  NVC and  the local Embassy  communicate regarding the case? Is it usually by email? If by email, are the emails sent only to beneficiary or to both petitioner and beneficiary? As a petitioner i want to be promptly updated of all of communication and also because my fiancé is very busy and doesn't check her emails regularly.
