Mr Greenbaum, my petition was approved, and I received the NOA2 on July 14. I expired Nov 2020.  I called the NVC in Oct and they said to wait. We still have not heard if our file has been forwarded to the embassy in Manila.  My questions are what is a P3, and what should I do about the Nov expiration. Should I recontact the NVC? Dave

It's my understanding that USEM is not doing K-1 interviews apart from emergency requests. Your case will stay with NVC until such time that USEM begins to request the files. Keep in mind, for USEM that will be many files that have backlogged since March so I assume they will work on a first in to NVC will be the first out of NVC

A fiancé visa must be issued within four months from the date of approval of the fiancé petition by USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services). If your appointment is later then the validity date, bring a signed and dated letter from your U.S. fiancé(e) stating that you both remain legally free to marry and that you intend to get married within 90 days of your arrival. E-mail or copies are acceptable. Embassies will extend your NOA2 expiration date in increments of four months till you reach the one-year expiration date.

9 FAM 41.81 N6.2 Validity of a K-1 Petition
(CT:VISA-2165; 08-21-2014)

An approved K-1 visa petition is valid for a period of four months from the date of USCIS action and may be revalidated by the consular officer any number of times for additional periods of four months from the date of revalidation, provided the officer concludes that the petitioner and the beneficiary remain legally free to marry and continue to intend to marry each other within 90 days after the beneficiary's admission into the United States.

Here are few links that will help you. First download the PDF file from my first post here on this thread and be familiar with all the steps and places to seek out to solve any mysteries you may have. Second, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of the conversation. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will better prepare you for your interview.

Third, connect with Hanks website for step-by-step instructions once the embassy has your file. Visa Connection Philippines - Home (visaconnection-philippines.com.

Fourth, go to the PI website for the P3 letter/instructions. Go to visa, then immigrant then fiance/K-1.

Oops, I just realized I sent NVC an email trying to update our emails when they do not even have our case file yet because I misunderstood and thought they would send out email once it arrived at nvc 🤐

Yes, NVC only sends an email if they have your email address and then that only happens sporadically. "your mileage may vary" They do however advise you that your file has been transferred to your embassy with your invoice and case numbers via snail mail.

For some of you new people just a tip on how to use VJ. If you ask a question and someone responds it's a nice gesture on your part to smash the heart near the right-hand corner of the person who replied. It shows you appreciate their answer. Just a little way of sending some love.

So the best way to find out our number is to call them after about a month? I don’t think they are going to reply to an email because they are probably overwhelmed

Referring to the PDF file on the first page you are not going to get a reply for an inquiry but often others have reported that they did receive an email once their case number and file was shipped to the embassy as well as a formal letter. The PDF is only advocating to update your email to receive correspondence from NVC and your embassy via email.

Hello Everyone,

I'm very happy to be apart of a new thread and excited for the next phase. We are planning to interview in Kuwait as the USEM is still not officially processing visas. Does anyone have information on the P3 Packet for the Embassy in Kuwait?

Happy to be joining but hopefully we won't be stuck in this stage too long 😅 I did find https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7hB3bl9Snfkb0NiMVFUd2JsVjA/view for the Colombian P3 & P4 packet but was wondering if this is still the most up to date one.

That is the most current copy that I have. If you add your country/regional thread from the sub-forums as one of your go to places, then you would be interacting with others from Columbia. I'm afraid you will not get an answer to your question from those who are processing in Germany, Nigeria or Greece as they do not need to know the current status of the Columbia P3.

You should consider to be a part of the conversation for your country here on VJ. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.  There you will find others from your embassy who are asking the same questions or exploring thier next steps.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

From your question I can see you haven't read the PDF on the first page from the first post. There in is the statement to ask for the P3 from Greenbaum. I just happen to be scanning this thread and saw your post. Here is the information you requested. I highly recommend you get the PDF as it has items that you currently should be knowledgeable about.

I do not have a copy of the P3 from Kuwait but have been able to find information that will help you begin to think and gather documents for your interview from the Kuwaiti US embassy website.

Information for K-1 visa. This is not the P3 letter as that will be forthcoming from the embassy once your case file arrives.

Nonimmigrant Visa for a Fianc(é)e (K-1) (state.gov)

These are the common items that you will do and prepare for the interview. Again, this is not the P3 letter.

@Greenbaum

I have been reading the PDF, but I have not finished reading all the pages. I did see where we should ask you for the P3 Letter, however I assumed you would see my message along with others. I will eventually finish the PDF you have provided at the beginning of this thread. Would you like me to send you the P3 Letter once I receive it from the Embassy in Kuwait? I think what you do here is amazing for everyone, but it especially has helped me and gave me confidence in the process. Thank you for all you help.
