Hey at least you got a change in status.  I'm still stuck with nothing.  Senator's office said they have 30 days to respond so I wonder if USCIS is going to make me wait the 30 days.  I hope they aren't pissed and just letting the case sit until then.  It's hard not to be depressed.

I also check my case all day long.  still wonder if the updates are live or batch processed overnight.

My status didn’t change it still says the same I just received an email response for an inquiry I sent 10 days ago.

:( nop. it's almost 11 months for us few, can you imagine lol... Like they said, I should contact ombudsman, a bit nervous doing that, I don't know why. Might wait a bit more then we will since the last status said 45 days from Nov 29th. We are hanging tight lol Im trying not to go crazy, like spamming the "check status", I can't help it! Watching paint dry? I'm watching the ocean evaporate x.x

I totally agree.

Ombudsman won’t do anything. I sent inquiry to ombudsman 3-4 weeks ago and they responded they can’t do anything until I contact uscis again after 60 days of my first uscis inquiry which I did :)

I guess it depends upon the state you live in.  My Senator responded to my request the same day I sent it and immediately sent a request in to USCIS.  We are going on a week after the Senator inquired.  I am hoping and praying for a response from USCIS soon.

Just got approved :)

Congratulations!

I am a March filer. I was hoping you can clarify some things for other people that will potentially have to wait as long as you.

What were the steps you took chronologically after your first inquiry? It would help others navigate how and when to contact ombudsman and their senators.

Again congrats wish you happiness and thanks!

After 1st inquiry I waited 10 days to receive the first inquiry response then I got an generic response from Uscis. Then I waited 2 more weeks after sent an inquiry to senator then they sent an inquiry on my behave to uscis. Then after 3 weeks (2 months after 1st uscis inquiry) I sent my 2nd inquiry to uscis and that’s it. I believe the second inquiry did its thing not senator since approval came 2 days after uscis inquiry response.

I never called uscis :)

Not yet since our first inquiry was Mid Nov. and they said to wait 45 days. I think we will sent something in Jan, like you. Hopefully we get something, too. Then we wait for more stuff -.- lol
