Hey Everyone,

My I-129F was received at Lewisville on Jan 12, I am wondering if the increased activity in processing the forms means we may get a NOA1 by the end of the month?

We just might see either the first or second week of March! They are flying by December right now. Also the processing times for USCIS have gone to 5.5 to 7.5 months. It appears that we won’t be waiting long for NOA-2 if that’s the case. Us January filers should see it by august or September.

Not bad, assuming embassies are open by August, how long does it generally take from NOA2 approval to consulate interview?

Removal of Conditions (I-751)
2/17/24: I-751 packet shipped via FedEx

2/20/24: I-751 packet delivered

2/22/24: Receipt Number available on USCIS Portal

2/27/24: Extension Letter Available Online, Biometric Re-use letter, "Case is being actively reviewed"

Some embassies are actually doing interviews. The Us embassy in my fiancé country has resumed immigrant visas since august. So l don’t expect that much of a delay by the time we get NOA2. Maybe a month or two because it still has through NVC. Those embassies that have not resumed interviews are looking at a substantial backlog at the embassy. Just look at the filers with fiancé/fiancée from Philippines. Some have been waiting a year for an interview at embassy.

Agree with this! I see a lot of December 14 already when I did the search!

I’m in the Philippines and I’ve seen a lot of people complaining about the backlog - some of them got their NOA2 in 2019 and still haven’t been able to secure an interview. Although I did see that 50 K1 Visas were released on January so I’m not really sure what’s happening. And it’s weird because malls are already open here and they can’t open the Embassy :(

I’ve seen a couple of December 28 applications marked as case received in the USCIS tracker! Hopefully, some of the earlier filers for January will start receiving their NOA1s by early or second week of March!

Yes, I am refreshing each day to see.  They were flying this week for sure!  This whole day has been a 60/40 split between the week of the 28th and week of the 21st.

There's an app you can use, called Case Tracker. It's very handy.

Thank you so much.
moreover, I had included form G-1145 e-notifications but I haven’t received any text or email ! Mine was delivered January 11.
Do you have the same situation? Or you have received the e-notification but not NOA1 ?

You need a WAC# to start with. Use WAC2190039000 and search from there. You'll be able to see how far they've made it in assigning the numbers out.

Thank you so much. I see that December 30 says your case was received. And couple of February 27 their case was rejected due to improper filling.
what does this mean ?
when it says your case was received December 30, it means their application was delivered to lockbox on December 30 and USCIS just accept their case and send them notice today or yesterday?

It means that's when the petition was received and they are only just now assigning the WAC and issuing NOA1. This is why we're saying that they're currently processing what they received in December.

You'll see cases rejected for sending the wrong fee, using an old form, forgetting to sign the form, etc. Improper filing can mean all sorts of things: not filled out properly, missing the basics that are requested . . . it's not entirely clear to me but it seems to include a variety of things.

It does seem to be the case that they reject pretty quickly so no one is waiting 2 months only to get a rejection.

There's lots of info/discussion on this topic in this thread as well as the November, December, and February threads so I recommend reading through those.

Also be aware that you will see them jump around.  When I was watching Friday, they did anything from the last week of December to a couple in November and then the rejects in February.

What I do is refresh and see what date shows up consistently.  For example, the dates showing up consistently for 129-F are December 30th and 31st.  So they are crunching the last week in December for main petitions.  The fiancée is not aware of this as I want her to be able to concentrate on life fully and not be stressed.  Once I receive the NOA1, then I will let her know that happened.
