She is asking now about the process at the embassy.  This is definitely exciting as for me this is more real to her now than it was in January.  Again, it is the little things that count.

Just arrived back from USPS.  Mailed the RFE documents.  Basically I included the following:
-RFE pages
-A letter from me explaining my documents (not cover letter, but an actual short letter)
-Translated copy of the divorce decree (realized the translator returned the original + translation in black and white so the seals are harder to read.  This might have been the reason for the RFE.)
-Original copy of the divorce decree (what she sent me before I said it needed to be translated into english.  I printed this in color as it was emailed in color)
-screenshots of what they missed (one paper had the original copy area where the seals were.  Second page had the translated copy where the seals were typed out in english.)

 

Documents are set to arrive at CSC on Thursday 23 September.  We will see how fast they "receive" the documents.  I expect maybe a 3 week wait for the decision but we will see.

If you haven't yet, I would strongly suggest filling out a case is outside processing time request. Then give them 7 calendar days and start calling them.   

 

Also, if you haven't yet, check your case status on the uscis.gov/tools

RFE was "received" and now the case status says RFE received!  Official 23 SEPT 2021.  Estimating the approval within a week or 2 unless they scrutinize the divorce decree and my 1/4 page letter.  Stay strong!

Hi! Congratulations to everyone who received their approvals and heard something about their cases recently!

We have officially filed a case inquiry (1/25 NOA1), and like @Keithn85 advised we`ll try to start calling after 7 days. We were also told(via the email confirmation,) to expect a response by Oct16. What can we expect after a case inquiry? Is this just another waiting game as well or can we do anything else to nudge them into finally  touching our file? 😅

I received a text and email at 06:00am Central Time that said "We have taken an action on your case.  Sign in to your account to view your case status."  I was sort of excited because I thought maybe it was the approval.  But I also realized it might have been delayed from their official receipt of the RFE.  My case status has not changed but still, knowing I am getting updates via email and text are great.  They might be a day behind, but that is still awesome.  So I would sign up for an account with USCIS.  This way you can track your case and also I think you can contact them from there.  But then when you contact them and they verify your information, you are put on a list to receive your updates by text and email.  Just some food for thought.

I did about 2 weeks ago.

 

Here’s the reply:
