All,

An update on waiting on the RFE:
Called USCIS today because I put in the missing notice e-request on Friday.  USCIS said it was too soon and nobody responded to my request yet.  This is technically 2 business days (Monday-Friday) since the e-request for missing documentation was submitted.  I assume they will "respond" in the next few days for it.  The person told me that normally when you put in the e-request, to give them 15 business days (so for me basically the 27th of September) or 3 weeks to respond somehow.  Banking on them emailing me the RFE so I know what is going on before I return to Houston on Saturday.

My thing i wanted to stress, and I stressed in the previous post, was if anyone gets an RFE and the documentation does not arrive before "this date" then put in the e-request the day of that "havent received it by this date" so the process can start for you.  And then you can call within a week to see if you havent heard anything.
I will keep you all updated on the turn out of it and what the RFE ended up being (at least a general idea since I put in my petition previous to all the knowledge from this forum).  Best wishes to you all and for those in the path of all this southern fun, stay safe.  Well stay safe for everyone out there!  And by all means, stay positive!  We are all in this together!

Thanks for the thoughtful and thorough advice!  I'll definitely keep it in mind as my own situation plays out.  And I totally agree with you - we all need to stay positive.  I'd be lying if I didn't feel a bit disappointed it's an RFE and not approval for me today, but it's a short-term setback and it'll all work out in the end, for all of us. 😃

I was able to get USCIS to email me my RFE.  hooray!  I need to gather info on proof of meeting in last two years.  of course they want more proof than what I provided.  I didn't put dates on the back of the pictures for one thing.  They also want divorce decree which I sent but maybe they want the whole packet rather than the certified page?  and then some document from my beneficiary which will likely be a problem since getting info from their government offices is not very easy.  So it may take a little bit to gather and return all this.  I wish I had known about this site prior to sending all my paperwork in.  I might not have gotten the RFE!

Everyone with an RFE, stay on top of it like Keith mentioned.  Calling can be effective if you get the right person!  Good luck everyone.

Update on this.  To get through to the live person for calling, say deadline for RFE.  The bot will give the definition of the RFE and ask if you have an account.  You repeat deadline for RFE.  Then it will give you the wait time after another 1 sentence and ask if you want to be connected.  Say yes and you are golden.  On call number 3 because last night i was disconnected after almost a 2 hour wait because I stepped away for 1 minute and the person answered at that time and heard silence.

Hey yall, so idk if this is the right thread. My i finally recieved an NOA2 🙏🏾 I’m so greatful! But now it’s NVc & Haiti embassy. Does anyone know how fast the NVC usually is?

@J&D1008 figured out about the every other week mailing from CSC to NVC.  I think someone posted above for it but that all depends on whether Haiti is accepting or not for how long NVC takes to process on their end.  I might be speaking in circles though because I am coming off the end of shift adrenaline.

Congratulations to all who received their NOA2 this week so far and RFE is also better than nothing.

Most of the dates in January are under 50% they have definitely started processing Feb cases with more vigor.

Super Slow last few days
Next update this coming weekend

PS: I have cleaned up the sheet a little more to make it more accurate

PS2: Other Column means the cases for which USCIS has taken some sort of an action (for example received a response to RFE and that is the last action on it)

Cheers

Yes, also if you notice the case numbers have gone up too.

Received my RFE after 4 call attempts to USCIS.  First attempt was told to wait 15 days.  2nd, 3rd and 4th attempt was disconnected before the live person (note to anyone is say a few words when the recording of "please continue to hold" comes up so the computer registers you are there. NOt sure if this is completely valid but it gave me peace of mind that it wouldnt disconnect me.  I did it every time) and 5th I was told it was escalated to Tier 2.  Tier 2 called me an hour later (first call was at 6pm Central Time (CST) and Tier 2 call was at 7:45pm Central (CST)).  Tier 2 called again a little bit ago and emailed my RFE to me.
RFE ends up being the divorce papers I submitted for my fiancee's divorce was not considered a certificate and they require this.  I am going to consult the Ukraine forum to make sure it is valid and already notified her of it so she could look into whatever she needs to.  But this is all they asked for!  awesome stuff for sure.  I will keep you all updated with the next steps.
Lesson learned with not receiving information, be persistent in calling!!

Awesome news.  Glad you persisted and got the email.  I guess I was lucky getting mine on the first attempt!  I too need info from my beneficiary's country.  Unfortunately, it will take a number of weeks to get further delaying us, but at least we are on it rather than still waiting for a piece of paper to come in the mail!  I hope you can get your info quickly but getting government records from another country seems even harder than getting them here!  Good luck!

So glad you finally got the RFE! How long does it take to get the certificate? And does she have to send you a certified copy?

Hi,

I'm not sure if I should submit an e-request. I received my NOA1 on Jan 25. it's been 234 days. My timeline states I should have received a NOA2 by today. I don't know if I should wait until next week. I check the case tracker 5 times a day 😓  .. I'm really trying to stop worrying, but it's so hard.

Selam,

Bir e-talep göndermem gerekip gerekmediğinden emin değilim. NOA1'imi 25 Ocak'ta aldım. 234 gün oldu. Zaman çizelgemde bugün NOA2 almış olmam gerektiği yazıyor. Önümüzdeki haftaya kadar beklemeli miyim bilmiyorum. Vaka takip cihazını günde 5 kez kontrol ediyorum  😓   .. Gerçekten endişelenmeyi bırakmaya çalışıyorum ama çok zor.

Timeout after 240 days so I suggest you wait 1 more week

If it is not approved within 240 days, that is, your file is not examined, you will have the right to write a petition from the immigration office page.
