Just an update...I called NVC for my case number. The rep said my case reached August 31 but they are working on August 25 cases which confirms my thoughts that USCIS sends cases to NVC every 2 weeks (Tues&Wed)  and i just missed the shipment that week i was approved - Aug 19. The rep said to call back in another week.  

Awesome!   This definitely helps with understanding the process.  It was always confusing between approval and when it was actually received by NVC.

two ways of looking at how this week went by, I have separated based on WAC#s (500 groups) and by date as well. January only

This was a short week and I doubt they will work tomorrow (9/11)

Congrats to all the ones who got their NOA2 and even if you got an RFE thats better than not getting anything especially after 8 months

I will update this again next week

Our case was approved!!!!!!

Timeline:

NOA1: Jan 8th 

RFE: Aug. 16

Response received: Aug. 24th

Case approved: Sept  13

There were so many times were we felt sad and frustrated. It's a part of the process.

Good luck to everyone and I wish you all a speedy process.

I will do another update when I get more info. On the next step--- NVC.

From what I've read here, they send approvals every 2 weeks on Tuesday and Wednesday (so we should have ours sent this week) . I'm interested to see how quickly our case gets looked at by NVC.

Wow congratulations.  I'm still waiting for my RFE to get here.  Sent 8/24.  How long was the deadline for submitting the RFE response?  I'm worried my deadline will come and go before I even get the letter.  I did request a duplicate but haven't heard anything on that either.

I can't recall. I'm not home right now but when I get back today I look up the date they gave me. I want to say it was around 60 days.

Hey all - update on our case.  We received notification in the case tracker app of an RFE today (9/14/2021).  Our NOA1 is 1/28/2021.  I'm not certain what the additional evidence they are looking for but I'll be sure to post that information when I receive the letter in the hopes it's helpful to someone out there.  I updated my timeline as well.

 

Hoping for a speedy approval for all of you and it's been inspiring to read the encouraging messages and see the happiness of those that have been approved.  Keep going forward everyone!

Stay positive!  Probably just something they lost and need another copy of.  Or more meeting evidence.  Be sure to note if you dont receive anything in the mail by the date on your RFE notification, definitely put in the e-request asap around that date (i would do the date of) so it can be processed to send out by mail or email.  That is what I am experiencing right now because mine wasnt mailed out correctly and i never received it.  Takes it seems like 2-3 business days for them to see and respond to the inquiry of missing RFE.

An update on waiting on the RFE:
Called USCIS today because I put in the missing notice e-request on Friday.  USCIS said it was too soon and nobody responded to my request yet.  This is technically 2 business days (Monday-Friday) since the e-request for missing documentation was submitted.  I assume they will "respond" in the next few days for it.  The person told me that normally when you put in the e-request, to give them 15 business days (so for me basically the 27th of September) or 3 weeks to respond somehow.  Banking on them emailing me the RFE so I know what is going on before I return to Houston on Saturday.  

My thing i wanted to stress, and I stressed in the previous post, was if anyone gets an RFE and the documentation does not arrive before "this date" then put in the e-request the day of that "havent received it by this date" so the process can start for you.  And then you can call within a week to see if you havent heard anything.
I will keep you all updated on the turn out of it and what the RFE ended up being (at least a general idea since I put in my petition previous to all the knowledge from this forum).  Best wishes to you all and for those in the path of all this southern fun, stay safe.  Well stay safe for everyone out there!  And by all means, stay positive!  We are all in this together!
