Do you know how I can find it if said embassy is interviewing or not?

Most US embassies have notices on their websites.   The other way is to go to the portal for your embassy here on VJ, and look at timelines.

Go to your fiancé embassy website and check the services that are being performed. I checked mine and there is an announcements that routine immigrant visas are being processed. Although the K1 is technically a non-immigrant visa, they classify it as immigrant visa on the U.S Embassy in Liberia. I then wrote an email to the embassy to make sure and they confirmed.

Check at these resources:

1. Your embassy's website

2. U.S. Visas

3. You should consider to be a part of the conversation for your country here on VJ. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.  There you will find others from your embassy who are asking the same questions or exploring thier next steps.

The US Visas site says "The All Other Nonimmigrant Visa wait time DOES NOT include K or V visa applications, which are processed similar to immigrant visas.  A, G, and NATO applications are excluded from these wait times, as they are processed separately."

And it only shows waiting times for "Nonimmigrant visa types" ... can I assume that K visas thus are falling under the immigrant category thus will be given more priority?

I'd like to recommend that you explore VJ to see what is available to help you in your pursuit of a visa.

1. If you have completed your personal profile, you'll see a flag in the left-hand column under your name. Select it and see all the information available to you about others from your country that you can follow, embassy information, timelines, and other cool stuff.

2. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll down about three-fourths of the page and select the region that most represents where your country is located.  Join the conversation for your embassy and process with others. See what they are talking about.

3. Use the search box in the upper right-hand side of this page to find topics that you are interested in.

4. On the blue ribbon select the "Office Reviews & Info. There are reviews of actual experiences by members of the Visa Journey community that provide insight into the many immigration related offices around the world.

5. Using that same drop-down menu from #4 visit the US Embassy & Consulate Information tab. From this page you can view information on US Embassies around the world. Every embassy info page has a link that will let you update the information in real time if you have something to add or change.

6. Processing Times tab will allow you to determine many different timelines that will return several different data sets that you can query.

7. Select the next-door neighbor to the Processing Times tab and you

Scheduling the interview can take 1 to 3 months. Once you pay the $265 visa fee at GTB Bank, you can go online to schedule an appointment at www.ustraveldocs.com You can get the forms online at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html No need to go to the consulate to pick up forms. Download forms if unexpired or get current versions of same forms. Email LagosIV@state.gov for your interview date.

Wet signatures are no longer required for I-134 for your Nigeria interview. You are able to send in scanned documents.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

That process falls on the embassy and whether they are open and processing K-1 visas. Some are open and others are still limited in thier visa offerings. Check your embassy website for further details as well as using the links I posted.

I filed November 17th to the Dallas lockbox facility. Still no notification of receipt, this sounds pretty common for right now? ☹️

There was some talk that they began to pick up processing forms and issuing receipts, but seems still very slow...

My I-129f was delivered to Louisville lockbox on January 11th and I didn’t receive even a text or email saying they have received it. Also the money order is not cashed yet. Anyone knows what is going on?

I believe a page or two back a user said there are ones from Oct/Nov with no response. Seems to be a major backlog with holidays/Covid, here’s to hoping it speeds up.

Get ready for a long ride. The lockbox is currently delayed 6-8 weeks. Check out USCIS website under news. Some who have filed in November have not received a notification . I also filed in January and thinking we may receive our first notification in March.

Hello all,

I have field I-129f in November 3, and it was reached Texas Lockbox in November 6. But I have not received my Receipt Notice yet nor get an email or a text message. I have contacted the USCIS and I was told that they could not locate my application because it wasn’t in the system yet. I also have contacted the Lockbox in the beginning of December and I only got a reply back from the auto computer. Then I recontacted them again in the beginning of January and I was told “ Good day,

The Lockbox has recently experienced a significant increase in filings. This, in addition to the restrictions put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant delays for processing receipt notices. USCIS continues to work hard to minimize delays. Once your submission has been completely processed, you will receive a notice in the mail. If you do not receive a notice within the next 30 business days, please contact Lockbox Support for additional details.

TRISTAN.”

With all the being said, until today I have not heard or received anything and I am really concerned and worried!! I don’t know what to do, should I reapply or should I wait?? Because when I check the tracking number (where I sent it) it stated it was reached Dallas Lockbox in November 6. Is anyone experiencing or have experienced this situation and what have you done?? ANY ADVICE!!!

Thanks
