Yeah mine is estimated on here between September 6th and 10th.  I will not take it too seriously until the end of this month.  I feel like it is going to backtrack then unless something crazy happens.  Like I've been telling my fiancée, my estimates I give her are based solely on the few Ukrainian couples on here which are a little better than what VJ is estimating for me.  It does not include the thousands of cases the USCIS has made a decision on.  Everything is estimated (mine and theirs) but it gives us something to talk about when we do discuss this process.

Yeah I agree! I was hoping to have my fiancé here by December but I’m not sure if that’s possible now. Hopefully my embassy isn’t backed up😩

My initial estimate was late August and the first few days of September. I, of course, was really hoping to get the NOA2 by August. Now, my estimated range is between September 10th and 15th. I was so naive to think that I could be moving to the US by fall of 2021. It seems less and less likely every day that goes by. 😔  I still hope/think some of you might be able to pull it off but for countries like mine (whose embassies have a huge backlog) it seems a bit unrealistic, unfortunately.

I always tried to be really realistic with my expectations of the visa timeline, especially with corona hindering the progress a bit. I know the Montreal embassy is going to be difficult to deal with, even after we get the green light with our NOA2.

I just find it hard to balance staying positive throughout the process while keeping realistic expectations. It often feels like those two are mutually exclusive.

Our initial estimate was first week of September - it has now been pushed back to September 23rd. The US Embassy where I’m from (Manila) has a lot of backlogged applications, they’re slowly reopening processing applications that were filed back in 2019 (yes, 2019). With the way things are going, I’ve already given up the hope that we’ll be together by the end of 2021 but still hoping for a miracle.

My fiance and I haven’t seen each other in two years - I get that the wait is frustrating but you have to talk with your partner through it and just focus more on being patient about the process. I know it’s easier said than done. But like what my fiance constantly tells me, “We already did our part, we have no choice but to wait. After this, we’ll be together for good anyway.” And that’s what constantly keeps me going. ☺️

K1 Process (536 Days)

  • 01/28/2021: I129F Packet Sent - 07/20/2022: Visa On Hand

  • 08/12/2022: POE - Dulles

  • 09/20/2022: Marriage

AOS (Pending)  EAD & AP (88 Days):

  • 09/30/2022: AOS, EAD, AP Packet Sent
  • 01/09/2023: Combo Card on Hand (Expedited)

Complete timeline can be checked on my profile.

Brazil is in a similar situation, with interviews being assigned for applicants that filed in 2019. You described it perfectly with "given up the hope of being together by 2021, but hoping for a miracle". That's exactly it!

But thank you for the advice! I'm still fortunate enough to have seen my fiancé in the last year,  and you reminded me that is a privilege. Good reason to be more positive. 🙂

Looks like we are getting close, but how accurate is this?

For me, this is an average.  They approved some in January and April/May.  If you look at it as an average, those are the A's that bring the overall "score" up.  It moves around depending on what is approved.  You might see it go backward and forward between now and September.

I am not going to post things yet, but I do have a very very rough case tracking going on for end of december to first week or so in February and I am updating it every week just to see.  I've been busy with getting everything arranged to uproot and move to Texas, plus this month is birthday month for the group out here I know.  Between that and spending weekend calls with her, I haven't designated a time to get a pretty sheet going.  I am also pulling my data a different way, so I am figuring out how I can automate it into what I need.  But there is very little movement.  I think kind of like what we saw in April/May.  Maybe expedited cases but it is always worth refreshing every week just to see everything changing.

Thank you Keith. Congrats on your move. I look forward to seeing the sheet in the future. :)

Since they have not touched December yet, I'm thinking late August or early September.

This is what I am thinking.  Maybe a small snowball at the end of this month, beginning of August but the movement we saw in September/October will be more like late August.  We will see though.  We might be surprised one way or the other and the good thing is we do not know what to expect so it will indeed...be a surprise.

January 4, 2021 filers here.  My fiance is a Filipina working in Hong Kong. We've been patiently watching and counting the days.  I'm happy to have this list to help keep us encouraged and informed.
