Hi everyone! Just wondering how everyone is checking? Do I have to go into a special site?

You can check processing times in https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ by selecting form I-129F and the field office processing the case (usually the California office).

I was hoping it is a glitch too!

I reckon it is a glitch. Even if they all became superhuman and Vermont workers went into overdrive there is no WAY they could clear ALL that backlog. Last I checked the Vermont case inquiry date was sometime in 2019! It doesn't make any sense...No way does it suddenly become 5-7 months...

we last saw each other: March 2020
I-129F sent: 12/24/2020

USCIS received: 12/29/2020

NOA1 notice date: 2/27/2021

NOA1 receipt date (backdated): 12/28/2020

NOA2: 08/11/2021

NOA2 paper copy: 08/18/2021

NVC received: 08/25/2021

NVC number issued: 09/01/2021

Hello everyone.

I'm a January 4, i129-f filer.  My fiance is a Filipina working in Hong Kong and our case is at the California Service Center.

I was using the Case Tracker app on my phone to search some cases which were near to my case number.  I noticed that a case from December 31, 2020 received an RFE on April 28.  I was happy to see cases being adjudicated so close to my receive date but then I began to wonder.  Do RFEs only come from adjudicated cases or are there some instances where a case will receive an RFE right away upon receipt of the package at the service center?  I hope this question makes sense.

Thanks in advance for all of your assistance.

No, they actually looked at the packet and decided they needed a RFE.  This is post receipt, pre-approval/rejection.  Might've been something that came back from the background check, or scrutinizing the documents.  The immediate setups upon receipt are normally rejected the day they are "received" or a few days around because of insufficient funds, improperly filled form, etc.

Hi all, we started our  K-1 application process on Jan 15th (received date), but received acknowledgement only on March 15th, with a notice date on March 8th. Not quite sure which one goes on our timeline for NoA1? Also, how do you know if it is indeed backdated? All help appreciated!

What date did they receive the application?

Received date is Jan 15th! Much like your situation,  we too seem to have two separate dates on the USCIS account (Jan 15th and Mar 7th), so I'll go ahead and assume it is the 15th that is the backdated one which must apply. Thanks! :)

Hello everyone!

I've been getting updates from Visa Journey as far as approval for our NOA2 goes and they're estimating for some time early August based on the information I've provided. I was just wondering how long post NOA-2, an embassy interview takes upon scheduling with the issue of covid. I read online that it could take between 3-4 months including (basic) delays, but nothing covid specific.

I'm a Canadian citizen and would have to have my interview in Montreal (presumably).

Well USCIS processing time has increased to 6 to 8 months today. Its really a waiting game. From the data here on VJ, it appears that are scheduling interviews for January 2020 filers. There may be a significant backlog there but i would suggest reaching out to a fellow Canadian on VJ.

Hi, I'm applying for K-1 from Canada as well and my NOA-1 is on January 15. I've been reading a few posts online that some CR/IR/K visas for May 2020 got their interviews scheduled at Montreal earlier this month. There's a Facebook group for Canadian fillers, joining that might help get some additional insight.

Good luck!

Stay strong Everyone!!  I am taking the NOA-2 predicitions with a grain of salt.  Mine keeps increasing, but I am not losing hope that it could possibly be earlier.  For me, the most important part of this process is making sure she (my fiancee) and I are both in a positive mindset by working on other things or even planning stuff we can do now to benefit the future.  I am going to plan another trip in the next couple months just to give some quality time together. (and I know I am lucky I can do this as some couples are not able to do this)
