Medical exam and police certificate are required but you should go on your fiancé embassy or consulate website for any additional requirements. Each embassy goes about the interview a different way.

Do you have the website where we can find these info? Thanks :)

Awesome!  If someone does not beat me to it, I will provide the information in the next couple hours.  Work is oddly busy this morning.

Immigrant visas to the United States are processed for citizens and residents of Iran at the following U.S. embassies:

  • U.S. Embassy Ankara, Turkey
  • U.S. Embassy Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
  • U.S. Embassy Yerevan, Armenia

I did not realize that Iran's stuff is taken care of in one of these 3 embassies.  I probably could have read it before.
This is Turkey's link:
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/ANK-Ankara.html  Yeah I favored Turkey because my Fiancee and I first met there.  Except we were in Kemer.

It has a link for "Pre-interview checklist" and then an additional for Iranian applicants.  I would check that out.  I just went to Iran's Virtual US embassy  and went to visas -> immigrant visas -> Fiance(e) Visa -> interview process (under the interview page) and that took me to travel.state.gov specific process site.  I clicked on "List of US embassies and consulates" and then found Ankara.
I would do this for whatever embassy you will be interviewing in (again not sure how that specific process works and there is probably a post on it in here somewhere.  I can look after work but not enough time on lunch today) to grab the information you need specific to the embassy you will be at.

How does this look?

Do I need to call uscis to change it to Ankara or they will automatically change it to Ankara since I put istubul turkey in the form I submitted? Or do they have interview in Istanbul too? Any info is appreciated

USCIS should set it up correctly according to the country.  I would just let them process it.
I apologize as I meant to reply on my final break, but work was really busy today.  Yeah they are pretty good about working with what you have and they will let you know if it is not possible.  If anyone else is going to shed more light on this specific to Iran, then heed them more than me.  But for me, you are good to go because you are at least in the same country. (Turkey)  I think they would give you issues if you would have put Italy or Egypt, you know?

Yes it will let them fix it since I put Istanbul turkey instead of Ankara turkey. I thought they have consulate in instanbul (as it shows online), maybe they don’t interview there but they have office. We also met in Istanbul and when I asked they said they had embassy in Istanbul.

One more question, does my fiancé need to prepare anything from now like her Iranian birth certificate translation , police report from Iran etc. I know she has to wait for medical test until she receive the interview notice. Thanks so much again :)

This is how I see it.  Figure out how long it normally takes to get a police report or any other report that depends on length of time. (birth certificate does not change with time so it can be translated anytime)  If it normally does not take long, then you can start when you feel comfortable between NOA-2 and Interview.  If it takes a while (a couple months or something like that) then start upon receipt of the NOA-2.  And police reports are something the closer to the interview you can get, the better in case there is a delay before the interview.  This way you do not get a report that expires and then the information is up to date.

Unless my fiancee's embassy has some catastrophe happen where they stop processing, I am going to have her get her police report and other things she can right after the NOA-2 receipt or when case is in transit to embassy.  She is in the capitol so access to buildings to grab police records are not an issue.  It will just be the request time.

Seems like police report is not required for Iranian in Turkish embassy based on the website but I will ask her to get it anyways. How about form I-864 affidavit of support? Any ideas if we need this (it’s very long form). I am just trying to prepare everything I can so it’s ready when we get Noa 2. Thanks again for all your help. I know for medical exam and all other online forms we have to wait for interview letter.
