IMO, Melania is both intelligent and beautiful, Donald clearly married up!.. As for being on the covers of Women's Magazines, he's right on that point, Melania should have been on not just one magazine cover but over a dozen magazine covers over the last 4 years. I'm guessing these publishers didn't want the backlash from the intolerant left, or risk having their buildings burned down,  so much for "Freedom of the press" as it only applies to the party that begins with a "D"

Actually, isn't this more of a capitalism issue than a "freedom of the press" issue? If a magazine believes their audience doesn't want to see a person featured in their magazine, isn't not featuring said person just capitalism at work? Shouldn't we support that kind of autonomy?

It was a retweet.  7 words.  Do you really think he took time away from Nashville to do this?  If he has not spoken about Nashville, I'm sure there is a reason.  Like waiting for facts.  Luckily, nobody was killed so he does not have to immediately address loss of life.

Let me rephrase: People are upset that he hasn't addressed the Nashville bombing. A tweet about Melania would have just been a normal tweet on any other day, the optics of staying completely silent on a domestic terrorism incident is pretty bad, but tweeting a grievance about your wife not being in a magazine *while* being silent during a domestic terrorist incident is horrific.

 

You don't need facts for the President to speak to the American people. George W Bush spoke within hours of the WTC bombing, with very few facts to go on. Reagan spoke on the Challenger disaster within hours, again with very little to go on. Why do you need facts to just speak plainly to the American people, to say "I feel your pain, and we're working on this."?

It's really not. My point on Obama is that Trump supporters have all kinds of reasons Trump does or doesn't do something, but you're not so forgiving when the other side does it. Trump says something awful and denigrating to women (or immigrants, or colored people, or...) and you guys will contort yourselves every which way to make excuses for him. Like this incident. But when Biden flubs a word, he's unfit for office, he has dementia, he's a disgrace.

 

Nobody's asking you to be a liberal or a Democrat. Just to apply the same rules to Trump as you do anyone else. That's why I mentioned Obama.

I think it comes down to party affiliation and what color your skin is, In 2014, this was before Kanye made his political views known, Kim and Kanye were featured on the cover of Vogue, so much for intellect.. Publishers are using race in their marketing like never before, using interracial couples in many commercials, and saying to the world; , "Look at us, were not Racist" or using Gay couples in their marketing to say "We support the LGBTQ" .... Skin Color, Party affiliation and being the first Black First Lady is what won Michelle 3 magazine covers, having nothing to do with her intellect.

So we should all stop enjoying our lives because were in the worst pandemic in 100 years?  I think our great President deserves a vacation after working his butt off for 4 years to help improve the lives of Millions of Americans.. I for one am very grateful for all he's done, my business has NEVER been better, the Trump economy has given me more work than I can handle actually,  I'm hoping that I can hire more employees so that I can donate some time in helping Trump get re-elected in 2024, I already have the web site domain setup, no joke.

 

If Trump want's to play golf, I'm OK with it,  or if he want's tweet about his beautiful and devoted Wife not being on the cover of magazines, I'm fine with that too, he has more than earned the right to do both IMO...  I would take a step further and suggest a sauna and massage.

 

As for the Nashville bombing, it's all property damage, they should be calling their insurance company... Thank God that nobody died, and the injured were all discharged from the hospital, we should all be thankful for that.
