And I know you've addressed it, but it's worth noting again how entitled and out of touch this is. Like Nero fiddling while Rome burns, except Nero's not fiddling he's just a whiny crybaby. This is the person people have hitched their wagons to. A person who doesn't care that people are desperate and need help, but does care about propping his wife up in a magazine. Doesn't care about a domestic terror incident, but does care about working on his swing.

 

Anyway, lest I come across as Melania-intolerant, I actually care more about Melania than the president does about the American people. I wish her well when the inevitable divorce happens, and that she's able to keep their son as far away from this monster and the rest of his brood as is humanly possible. Would be nice to see that kid grow up to be the polar opposite of his other children, although it's probably wishful thinking at this point.

I also want to clarify something I said before, because it comes off as way harsher than intended: I don't think Melania Trump is an idiot, or an unintelligent person. I think she's accomplished not only in her field, but also in her grasp of multiple foreign languages. However I just haven't seen any evidence that supports that she's smarter than Michelle Obama. I don't think MO is more intelligent because she's a lawyer to be clear -- I have met several lawyers who you wonder how they know how to dress themselves properly (and sometimes they aren't). It shouldn't be a credential competition -- people should be judged on the content of their character.

 

And sometimes on their fashion sense.

Melania definitely married well below her IQ. It's unfortunate she was caught up in her husband's freak show, because you're right, she was/is accomplished, and I get the impression she'd have been happier being able to work in her field.

 

Comparisons to Michelle Obama are ridiculous and just people showing their uglier, more basic side.

But what is the point in posting a picture of Melania showing off her legs here when you've just been arguing that Melania is a better person than Michelle? Having shapely legs doesn't make a person a better or worse person. It's just a part of their body. Physical fitness isn't a measure of morality, just like wealth isn't a measure of morality.

What do Melania's legs have to do with her intelligence? If you want to make an argument for Melania being more intelligent than Michelle Obama, it would do you well not to undercut it by focusing on her appearance. 

 

When I hear Michelle Obama speak, she sounds like a mom. And a lawyer. And a woman who graduated from an Ivy league school. If you hear Sarah Palin, I don't know where you're getting that. Melania to me sounds like a reasonably intelligent woman whose first language isn't English but who does a decent job expressing herself. I don't like her, but I do not let my dislike cloud my ability to listen to what she is communicating, and how she is communicating it.
