Well, I may be able to help answer that. :)  I think our interviews were within days of each other.  We did receive the visa and passport and within 48 hours promptly had the passport stolen :)  So, the nightmare also continues.  I wont hijack the thread but will can create another one in a few days on this subject.  The only place that a passport can be renewed before mid-March is in Tuguegarao and that is where she is now under quarantine.  Its going to be tough to get to the US before the medical expires but we will try.......also Philippines flipping out by this new virus variant (which was known since September) and today banned flights from any country with just 1 case of it.  US not on the list yet but I expect it to be soon.........also, in-class learning suspended for all of 2021.......tourism not expected to start until at least September or October.  2021 will be the same as 2020 for the Philippines.

If not worse. If that is even possible.

Finally done...

**Update** 1/5/2021

After several attempts at trying to call the Visa help desk and even calling the Embassy. I finally received an email stating, they have her passport and are processing it. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

Also, we have our sons Philippine and US passports in hand now.

Congratulations! Glad to see some positive movement with your family's case.

Thank you for the encouragement. The journey so far has been somewhat difficult. With the delays due to covid and the confusion with the Embassy.

But things are coming together on the paperwork side. Hopefully I will be able to go and get them soon.

Thats great news.  Due to the travel ban in place and possible flights cancelled or moved, if you need country travel information Ill have the latest.  At the moment if you dont do the direct PAL flight to the US, other countries to connect through seem to be Japan, Qatar, UAE, and Turkey.  However UAE requires a COVID test before departing Manila, Qatar I believe does but can double check this, and Turkey and Japan do not.  Also, you may want to check your states Dept of Health travel restrictions as well, although these are more loosely enforced, airlines may follow the rule.

The United States is now a country obsessed with the worship of its own ignorance.  Americans are proud of not knowing things.  They have reached a point where ignorance, is an actual virtue.  To reject the advice of experts is to assert autonomy, a way for Americans to insulate their increasingly fragile egos from ever being told they're wrong about anything.  It is a new Declaration of Independence: no longer do we hold these truths to be self-evident, we hold all truths to be self-evident, even the ones that arent true.  All things are knowable and every opinion on any subject is as good as any other.  The fundamental knowledge of the average American is now so low that it has crashed through the floor of "uninformed", passed "misinformed", on the way down, and now plummeting to "aggressively wrong."

Can you give me the number pls? I need to call them too because my son's Visa is still Refused and we we already submit the documents that they need. He had his interview on Dec. 17th and his birth certificate is late registered. The date has been changed 3 times, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7 but still showing Refused. I dont know what to do now.

***UPDATE***

Status finally updated to "ISSUED".  Thank you, Visa is on the way!

But with the travel ban for US citizens, she may be making the trip to the US without me.

Great news! You're almost at the finish line, although it is a shame that you can't come fetch her right now.

Don't forget that she needs to do the CFO counseling and get the CFO sticker on her passport before she leaves :)

She did counseling last year because her original interview was in March 2020. Once she gets her Visa in hand we will call CFO office to get the stamp or certification letter.

***UPDATE***

Passport being shipped via 2GO today. Manila to Lipa City, hopefully it will be delivered today.

Then its a call to the CFO office. She already had counseling and paid the fee but we will see what they ask for other than the copy of the passport with visa stamp.
