Help!!! Didn't get greencard!!!!

:help: Hi everyone!!

I don't know what else I am supposed to do!

Got my AOS approved on May 4,2007 and didn't get the greencard yet.

I called the imigration which doesn't now what's going on! They were unpolite and didn't help at all. The ladie said she was going to mail California and I should get an answer within 6 weeks!!! 6 weeks!!!

It's been almost 2 months that I got approved...

My wedding reception is going to be on December and I need to go to Brazil for that!!

Is anybody on the same situation?? I'm getting crazy!

Did they say approved pending name check? They may be hung on name check.

It can take some time.

If you check online status, does it say card sent? If so it may be lost in the mail.

Jana, liga pro congressman, se seu caso foi aprovado sem entrevista você não está em name check.

The card can be lost in the mail indeed. Check your online status, if the card was sent, call your congressman.

Yes, I'd go in for and Infopass appointment. We haven't waited as long as you, but my husband's EAD card has been lost in the mail. We're going in for an appointment to get things straightened out.

Tell them it was sent two months ago and you fear it's been lost. They should verify your address and send a new one or tell you what's going on. The hotline won't help at all.

you might want to make an info pass apt and then maybe they will give u a stamp in ur passport saying aos approved.
Correct, they should at least stamp passport with I-551 stamp, that way your passport acts like a green-card allowing work and travel

Happened to us also. Wife was approved at interview and they said she'd have GC in 2 weeks. Waited 3 weeks and ran down the local service center phone number and called them.

They had everything messed up . Had to go do Biometrics a couple more times before they came thru. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't called them. Might still be waiting!!

Do like people say ! Info pass or call. They do have phone numbers. If you get one when they ask for extension number. Press 1 or 101 ! There's usually always a extension with one of those numbers!PS !

They knew they screwed up and were VERY nice to us.

Didn't send a limo to the airport [we have to fly to the local office at $500 a trip][3 trips] to pick us up as I asked them to do tho!

It was sort of nice being aggressive for once in the process and not having to clam up like other communications with USCIS and be a wimp.

Never did that in my life before and it SUCKS BIGTIME.

Can't do anything tho as they have you by the "da kine" and can destroy your life with one click of a button!

I did call them ( so did my lawyer) and asked if i should go to an into pass appt and the veryyyy unpolite attendent told me why i should go to one since she already gave me all the informations that they are going to give. The only thing that she did was sending an e-mail to california.

This is what I got:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On May 3, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I got the welcome letter and that was it!

Beckypua, did they tell you what was going on? because they don't have an answer for me! For my lawyer they said they were backed up! But backed up just with me I guess!!

Yeah When I called the LOCAL center. They checked it out and it was more than one thing. Computer problem plus they had got my wife and daughters A# mixed up. Plus they forgot to take my daughters fingerprint and photo when they did Biometrics right after the interview.

And I thought the Philippine government was bad! USCIS is running a close second! :blink:
