Hi everyone,

I hope you all are having lovely holidays. Sorry if this has been asked before - I've searched for keywords a few times but didn't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

I am very aware of the travel ban mega-thread and I follow it daily, but I am looking for a more specific thing.

Are there any of you who got a K1 visa issued in London right before the travel ban (early 2020) and did not manage to leave?

I know some of you:

a) chose to travel via third country and are already with their loved ones (well done!). Unfortunately, due to commitments in the UK and pandemic affecting my family, I wasn't able to do this

b) others decided to get married elsewhere and file for CR1

I am looking for the third group of people who are waiting for the US Embassy in London to resume visa processing and who have an expired K1.

I'd be very grateful if anyone who's in the same situation would respond or could direct me to the right sources.

Thanks

Did you contact the embassy prior to the visa expiring?

Yes, and I was told to re-contact them after it expires. Immediately after the expiration date I contacted them again, and they sent me to FAQ page and told me to keep checking for updates.
