Police certs from Age 16 ?

I needed some clarification regarding police certs for applicants living in India :

My fiancee has lived in India only since the age of 16:

Does she need police certs from all the local police stations since the age 16. (She has lived in at least 3 places) or just one from the current local police station and another from the regional passport office ?

Can someone please clarify this one. (She'll be applying at the Chennai consulate).

Some countries have a national police cert, and only need to acquire it at the local police office. By "Places Lived" it tends to mean Countries, not town/city/province.

POLICE RECORD

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office. These are usually more dependable than those obtained at a local level and indicate that the subject had no serious criminal convictions on record at the time of passport issuance. Applicants whose Indian passport was issued within the past six months may present just the Passport Office Police Certificate, and need not obtain additional police clearances.

Applicants over age 16, whose passports were issued more than six months previous to visa application, must also obtain a police clearance from the District Police Office serving the applicant's place of residence.

So if passport is less than 6 mo old at time of visa interview only need the one from the passport office, if the passport is older than 6 months old, then get one from local police office serving the place of residence, in addition to the one from the passport office.

Does the Local area passport office itself issues the police certificates ?? Anyone who got it from Bangalore ?? How long does it take ??

YOU NEED FROM BANGALORE PASSPORT OFFICE PCC's IFF YOUR PASSPORT WAS ISSUED FROM BANGLORE AND THIS IS CALLED PCC FROM PASSPORT OFFICE

ALSO U NEED ,

LOCAL DISTRICT PCC IS FROM YOUR LOCAL AREA POLICE STATION , THEY WILL MAKE YOU FILL FORM N DO NEEDFUL PROCEDURES .

P.S MOST PCC MAY REQUIRE THE INTERVIEW LETTER .
