Hi all,

I was DQ in April 21, 2023  with EB2 NIW and am in the queue for an interview now. Any idea how long it takes to get an interview date this year at the U.S. Dublin Embassy? My PD is also current.

Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

Thanks !

I am also waiting for Interview with EB2, but at Stockholm Embassy. DQ at April 6th, 2023. My PD is also current.

I have seen others DQ after me geting interview letters in the end of June, in the same Embassy, but they are all CR1 visas. I believe we Eb2 are in the lowest priority...

Hi @Aaron2013, its frustrating to see that EB2's are not given the priority as CR1. I thought after 3 months max of receiving DQ, you will get the IL but I am not sure how much more we have to wait. My current job contract is going to finish from this end of August, not sure what to do either start searching new job here in Ireland or still wait for the Eb-2 interview. 😞 !

Soon will be 4 months after my DQ, and I am still waiting. The more frustrating thing is even though NVC says "first in, first out ", and they have a priority over different visa types, we don't know how the queue works...I have no idea about their algorithm. If family visas have more priority than employment visas, how long exactly should we wait, what if EBs DQ 4 or 6 months before FBs, will FB still have priority? It is so im transparent and frustrating.

Hello all, when does NVC send out interview letters? Is it usually start of the month? Middle of the month? Or do they send it out throughout the month?

That's exactly the question I want to ask. By checking cases before and after me, I still have no clue. There are only case creation time and last updated time showing.

May be I am wrong but I think the immediate relatives (IR) are given the priority over other categories. I seriously doubt they have any algorithm to rank the categories of the case 😉 !. Btw have you thought of inquiring  NVC about your case? I think most of the time they give the copy/paste answer. Hope they don't make 12 to 13 months of wait time after DQ for issuing ILs.

I did send one inquiry, but as you mentioned, the reply was copy and pasted, just saying "first in first out" and I need to wait..."they can not predict how long" blabla BS. So frustrating and do not know what to do.

Hi @Aaron2013, any update about your IL? I saw one applicant got his IL in August 2 who was DQ in March 31, 2023 for NIW-EB2? I still haven't got mine though?

Hi all, anyone have recent intel on the wait time for an interview in Dublin for a CR1/IR1 visa, post DQ?

This isn't much help but we were DQ on 26th Oct and waiting for a Dublin appointment. I'll update when we get our interview date!

Have you been waiting much longer? We're trying to get a sense for the time too...

Thanks

I actually only just got passed to NVC, but am trying to build out a very rough timeline so we can plan our move. Once you get a date I'd appreciate you reporting back, thanks!

We received our appointment for Jan 18th! So in the end it took about 7 weeks from DQ to receiving the embassy date.
