Was your case sent to the embassy in December or was it just recently?

I just got notification today so I’m guessing it’s being sent. They sent me an email a couple of weeks back saying my case was at the NVC so I don’t think it’s been at the Embassy.

You can also view it off your online CEAC portal on current status

Thanks so much! Ah there really is no point in being negative or moaning about things that are out of my control. There is a pandemic, no one ever expected this and people are doing the best they can in the circumstances they have. It’s been really hard being away from my Husband but at least I know it’s coming to an end. We have forever to make up for lost time! I consider it a blessing as listening to my friends who are locked down with their Spouses, it doesn’t sound pretty! 😂

Hi everyone. New here, just found this community. Got notified of my upcoming interview today for early next month and am nervous for it. Any advice on what to bring for a CR-1? Do I need to get evidence of a relationship, bring photos? First time ever doing something like this and I don't want to do the wrong thing.

Welcome to VJ! You can use the search bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen to look up your question, as well as the guide here. I think there are official guides out there too on the travel.state.gov site. Generally speaking, if you have any questions not answered by research, it's better to start a new thread than post in an existing one, you'll get more eyes on your inquiry that way. It's also a good idea to fill in your timeline, it helps us help you with any questions you have, and in turn you are helping other VJ members by adding your data to the stats. Basically, all the questions we are asking you now would be answered by your timeline.

It seems like your case has moved really fast, lucky! I was DQ'd in October as well. Good luck on your interview!

👐

Patience......patience.

My apologies. I was new to the site and did not realise. I’ll figure out how to start a new thread if I have any other questions.

No need to apologize! As Linos said, it's good you posted in here. I think everyone is desperate for any sort of information or update, as the lockdowns have been killer for basically everything, especially immigration progress.

Until you posted, I thought the Embassy was only interviewing cases that were already there. You've reignited the hope that things will start moving from the NVC again, so really, thank you.

Guys:

Just read the process below from Lucky Cat, might be helpful for rest of us to understand the process chain.

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.
