Yes that's my understanding. They have been waiting for far longer than us from my conversation with atleast two colleagues. I think there's a whole lot out there who aren't active on forums

I understand they’ve been waiting but we have a family to provide for and need to get home to family in the states. Now I’m panicked wondering how much this will set us back.

Let's not lose hope! Just waiting on one of the cr1s to change from nvc to the embassy and we should be onnnn!

It’s hard not to lose hope. I wish we knew how many work visas were at the embassy. What happened to us being mission critical

I feel like if I knew what we were dealing with time wise I wouldn't feel so anxious...I don't know if the embassy would share these details with us? E.g. how many people do they need to get through before they consider pulling in CR1s from the NVC....

Do you know if and when they’ve been scheduled their interviews? Or did they just get a letter saying work visas will resume?

I honestly don't know for sure, I was told that so many colleagues were held up due to Trumps ban on work visa + covid. They were just at the edge of moving to the US for work and planned their whole career situation but got stuck like us. Biden has lifted the ban so they were all in touch with the legal team to resume their cases. I know for sure that their interviews are being lined up (similar to k1 - approved long ago). Listening to them was also sad that their lives were so uncertain. Many missed out on promotions and increments etc due to plans of moving and what not.

I understand the hardship. I just feel families should have priority. We might have to leave my husband and father to our children in ireland. I have family back home that needs us. I wish I knew how many work visas the embassy has to get an idea of a timeline

I know what you mean, its just taking too long. Ireland went into mandatory hotel quarantine for 20+ more countries. The situation doesn't help at all locally either. I feel if our vaccine rollout was as fast as US or UK, local conditions would allow full services.

I am hoping that next month the cases may move. Can't wait to get over with this whole situation.

Is this about the time they are supposed to reach out with interviews for April?

They typically schedule interviews at the end of the month and very beginning of the month. The only interviews I saw scheduled were two k1s. I’m guessing all the rest were work visas which is infuriating.
the embassy has said they are only scheduling interviews for cases currently at the embassy which means all the work visas that have been sitting there over the past year now get interviews ahead of family based visas waiting at the Nvc. The embassy hasn’t transferred family based cases from the Nvc since September.
im incredibly nervous the work visas will set us back months. I’ve been contacting American & Irish officials with no luck at all. But I’ll keep fighting.  We need to get home, this is not ok.

How do you know that "the embassy hasn’t transferred family based cases from the Nvc since September"? I thought I saw someone with a DQ of 01/10/2020 get an interview date?

Yes, that was the last date they’ve pulled from. She had an interview that was canceled then rescheduled. She’s the last spousal visa that has been scheduled for an interview. After DQ date 10/01/2020, no spousal visa interviews have been scheduled. The embassy also stated in an email to a senator that they will not be transferring any cases from the Nvc until they’ve gone through all that they have already at the embassy, including work visas.

Do you have a screenshot of this email you could share?

Can you please share that email?

I emailed two senators yesterday - if anyone has any other ideas let me know.
