Hi all, my husband had his green card interview this morning and was approved pending his medical exam. Thanks to everyone who provided advice about how to navigate this process when you're the sponsor living overseas with the beneficiary. I think this advice is the reason we got approved on the spot! 

 

He said in the end they asked him minimal questions and it was very anticlimactic lol.

Hi, 

 

My Irish spouse had his interview yesterday at the Dublin Embassy. For context, we got married 3 years ago in Ireland and we both reside here.

 

We didn't get approved as they were not happy with my proof of US domicile - I had uploaded/provided multiple bank statements for US accounts including my Roth IRA, as well as my valid PA drivers license, but the consular officer I guess wasn't happy with those even though NVC approved?

 

Anyone have ideas of what else we can provide for this?

Consulate officers are the sole approval authority for visas.

Edit: i forgot to mention that I showed proof of concurrent wire transfers from Ireland back to USA over the past few weeks which helps show intent.
 

The only other thing we used was deposit payment for shipping company which shows intent to return.

 

my wife renewed her driver license last year, that’s the only other thing I could think of that could show more intent than what you’ve laid out.
