Nice! So bit of a long wait for the letter, but the interview is sooner than I've seen for some other folks.

Did you have any issue booking a medical at the Mater in time? We were considering calling up and asking for a medical appointment before we have the interview date, since I know the clinic can get backed up.

I saw that too so I emailed them on 30th Nov inquiring about when they're next appointment was and at the time they said 19th of Jan.

I told them on the same day that I had an appointment and would take their next free slot and got 9th Jan, so still unlikely to get my report back in time for the embassy, but still four weeks sooner than it would have been if I was just asking now. They need your NVC case number, but otherwise not that much info needed to book.

Glad to help! Unfortunate news is that he currently doesn't have a medical until April 2. The Mater wouldn't let him schedule it before we had the date. He's on the cancellation list of course, but I suspect we might get put in processing limbo for a while after the interview while we wait for the medical to be done and processed. Oh well, what's another few weeks 🙄

Ugh I’m sorry. Shocking in this country they can only manage one hospital to

handle these exams. But the end is in sight - hang in there! ❤️

What did your process end up looking like @mrev, did you get a medical on the cancellation list? How was the interview process?

Any updates this week ?

Nope. 10 weeks DQ’d as of this past Thursday, so really hoping we get an interview letter next week maybe. It seems that interviews are only scheduled once a month so fingers crossed we’re in this next batch. Getting really anxious at this stage as planning our move is going to be a nightmare and we won’t have much time to do it at this point. Waiting this long for an interview appointment is making it really hard to get organized.

I would be shocked if you didnt hear anything by next week. I was speaking with a girl on lawfully with a similar timeframe and she had to wait a full two months after being DQ'd and then was scheduled the following. Its still a little crazy it takes this long to schedule an appointment so that you can reunite with your other half considering we are such a small country. The girl on lawfully also said that they seemed to be extremely understaffed in the embassy and that only two of the windows were open. Also it is J1 season up until May/June but still the should be prioritising IR1/CR1 appointments. Will be sending all my good vibes your way!
