Parents Visas are currently banned and will remain so until March 31 at least.

I can't imagine the Biden White House will not overturn that order.

@SussieQ.

I know Biden wants family unification but I am talking of current healthcare issue. I think Biden will at least try to get Americans vaccinated first before he removes ban

You keep saying “ I read” (somewhere on the internet lol)  “ I think” etc etc all over VJ saying you think he’ll extend the ban, well, we all think our own things, bottom line is the only tangible thing we have to go on is his health policy document. I know people who have made very reasoned arguments why he would get rid of the ban quickly too. Vaccinations don’t even nominally have anything to do with this ban, for the actual Covid “infection” bans (the two weeks beforehand in schengen etc) maybe, remember this is supposed to be because all those aged parents are taking jobs away from citizens lol. This ban was never supposed to be a healthcare issue, it was supposed to be a jobs issue (though we all know what the real issue was).

There might be a reason why Biden won't comment and still reverse on day one or may be he might hope courts overturn and he doesnt have to do anything, so he wont be attacked by fox news etc. whatever the reason , more imp thing is opening up consulates, if not even without ban may takes many months to years to clear all backlog.

Of all the different reasons I have heard for Biden doing or not doing anything, thinking that he cares about being attacked by Fox News (which will attack him no matter what he does anyway) is the most spurious one yet. Lol.
