i suspect they think this will negate any attempt on your part to nullify the affidavit of support.  i recommend a trip with several forms of ID to your nearest USCIS office, as they can locate the

info you need to write up a withdrawing of support.
that they are pulling this stunt (hiding the case number) should demonstrate that neither of them has woken up and smelled the roses.

be careful.

I totally agree with you Ban Hammer! I was telling my own spouse the exact same thing. I Just called, USCIS they told me that the application could not be withdrawn, I insisted that it was not the application but the affidavit of support that I wanted to withdraw and that I had the right to do that and they refused to give an info-pass appointment... I contacted a lawyer right away.

@Disappointment All right, thank you for clarifying. Those details illuminated things that were not fully apparent from the start. I do wish you the best and hope this can be resolved in a way that keeps you and your loved ones safe.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for whoever will be confronted to this situation: I called one of the VJ partner attorneys (That I called after 2 emails sent and no answer received in 2 weeks) and I was told by one of the assistant that I ABSOLUTELY NEEDED the Case number to withdraw my affidavit otherwise they could not do anything. I did not insist to have an appointment with the attorney and I should have maybe; but I did not take no for an answer either and I ended up calling one of the biggest immigration law firms in the West region and this time insisted in having an appointment with the lead attorney and here is the result:

They are hired day in and day out to withdraw I-864s and they have no problem handling this withdrawal without a case number because most of the time, and that makes sense, when people withdraw their support, they are in bad terms with the applicant so they rarely have this information.

This firm will therefore take care of that and I will keep you posted because I have seen and heard so many times that the alien # or the case number is ABSOLUTELY required that, I assume it discourages people from pressing ahead...

Next step is having the "come to Jesus" conversation with my kid... I am and will be walking on eggshells because I want to prevent ANY potential DV allegation (not from my kid but from the spouse) as,  right now, it would be their only way out.
