Hi! So we received an RFE as apparently we are missing pages 3-6 & 5-6 on our I-130A. I was thinking they were saying I’m missing the 3rd & 5th pages from the I-130A (which is super strange..) but not 100% certain if that’s how it’s interpreted. RFEs apparently have the ability mess your confidence and have you overthink!

Also, on topic of the I-130A, I am having troubles organizing my additional info on my 5 year employment history. I was told that I should do it chronological so I don’t show any gaps of time. However I’ve been in university for the past five years, and have had seasonal work to fill up the rest of my time - for example, I’ve returned to work for a employer 3 for 5 winters and another employer for 2 summers. Do I repeat the info of employer 3 five times then? Or do I just put the info required for employer 3 once and list all the months employed? I also at the end of listing all my employers put:

reason for sporadic and non full time work:

Studied full-time from September 2015-April 2020 for my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree at the _______university________ in ____city____, _____province______

would this be helpful or am I overthinking? Thank you in advance!

"I've been told", and "I was told" are very unreliable sources.  The experienced members here know the "Told" family of advisors well.  Don't listen to them. 😉 I hope you didn't pay for this advice.  The correct advice is to tell the truth.  Yes you do start with your current employment and work backwards.  If you are a student now, indicate that and the applicable dates.  Since there ARE gaps in your "employment" you must tell the truth and show those gaps but you've already covered the 5 years by being a student. I would just use the open text fields on the last page to explain your actual employment.  Enter the one employer then show multiple date ranges.

So, if you have one or more temporary employers and the rest of the time is as student, put student information in the first employer field.  In the next employer field refer to the last page.  "See Last Page" in the employer name field.  Then enter the rest of your employment information in plain text, with full names and addresses ONCE with multiple date ranges.  If you want to explain further.  Go ahead.  That's what the space is for.

Don't overthink the I-130a.  Send a whole new complete one.

If you filed online, this is another of the multiple reason, I still advise against that.  File by mail.
