Hey all,

I received an interview notice today for my I-751 for March 30. It will be a combined interview along with my N-400. I received two separate interview notices for the same day and time for both applications.

Congratulations, looks like your N400 application is the fastest processing I have ever seen :)

Go in person and ask to speak to a supervisor if you haven't tried that already.

I already had a CA license and only needed to renew it. Did it via mail, "forgot" to send a copy of the extension letter. 3 weeks later I still hadn't heard anything from them so I called and was informed that my application was sitting at their "legal presence unit" and got the number.

Called the unit and explained that I was in the middle of a removal of conditions process. The guy was awesome - knew exactly what I was talking about and said he'd approve the renewal right there and then. A week later I received a 3 year license instead of the 18 months that my extension letter would've given me. Great experience.

I know your situation is not the same but it at least shows that it all comes down to who you get to talk to. Don't give up, try several different offices if needed. Someone will give you a proper DL.

I got surprise mail this week. I got my CA drivers license that's valid until 2025 so about 4 years. So weird. 😅 Glad I don't have to go back for a while now. Also no restrictions on the DL

Hi. I just want to update you guys and also ask a question. Here is my timeline for quick reference:

I-751: Filed July 2019

Bio: Feb 2020

Current update since Sept. 2020: Case was transferred to a new office (coz I filed N400 concurrently)

N400: filed Aug 2020 when my window opened

Bio: waived

Interview scheduled: April 12 in Los Angeles

My question is do you think this will be a combo interview? I only received one interview notice which is for the N400. I am excited! 🙏🏼❤️

Current timeline:

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

I received an interview notice for both my I-751 and N-400 application in the mail.

I have read though that many times separate interview letters do not arrive, but they are notified at the day of the appointment that it will be a combo interview.
